Join the Quest for a 495lb Deadlift!

joined, broke 450 last month, nailed 465 last week, attempted 475 and couldnt lockout

465x1, fast and smooth! Looking @475 in two weeks; doing 5/3/1 for Powerlifting. This was my 3 week w/singles and two weeks will be my 5/3/1 week with singles. Goal of 505@198bw on April 7th @ the SPF Longhorn Classic.

New and joining in at 198, 465 my best single, pulled 440 for a triple today, first two nice easy, 3rd kinda tweaked my low back. Rehabin before I try for another PR.

435x1… After 5 week on 5/3/1. Felt good. 150x13, then 195x1. Happy with that.

Finally. I did NOT make this look easy, but I’m ok with that! 500# goes down (up).

Watch it!! Nah, it’s true. I am 6’2" 204 at the moment. I need to get serious with my eating again and see what happens.

I am at 435 right now I am in.

my 455lb today, My form needs some work and I need to pull a bit more aggressively, I pulled 475 after but hitched nasty so I not going to bother

I finally pulled 405 today.

Took a long break from deadlifts and worked on ‘assistance lifts’.

No belt/straps at 145 pounds.

[225x5, 315x3, 335x1, 350x1, 380x1, 400x1, 405x1.]

No hitching/struggling. Weight went up quick.

475 this week. 505 meet goal: April 7.

I want in. Got 425 on Thursday. Back feels like a louisiana levee. If I can get 500 before my birthday at the end of July I’ll be a happy boy.

475 last Sat. in a small unsanctioned meet…5 plates, very close!

Guys, last year I started deadlifting again January 2011. I was at a max weight of 405 for a single. I found an article on T-Nation called, twelve weeks to a better deadlift and followed it for 4 cycles. Last November I pulled 565lb in a meet, no straps, just a belt.

In. I’ve hit 220kg/485lb which is 5 plates over here so my goal is to break 500 with my next true max attempt. Then I’ll join the 600 thread purely for my deadlift, lol
