Join the Quest for a 495lb Deadlift!

I’ll be joining in for my double overhand SLDL. 460x1 Tuesday night.

Pulled 480x1…if I didn’t have such tight/sore hamstrings today I would’ve been pretty confident in pulling 495-500. Will be starting 5/3/1 on Monday.

455lb DL with the plates on the barbell standing on plates 2 high. In the past, my mid-shin DL has always been 90-95% of my pull off the floor. Will see in a few weeks.

Joining with a 185kg = 407 pound sumo deadlift.

Currently on cycle 2 of 531. Hoping to hit 495 in 8 months.

got 435 once again on tuesday after a good warm-up. Then got 455 three inches off the floor before bombing out : ( I would still like 495 by Holloween though…Good training to the rest of you out there in T-land !

Im in!! recently did 500 with straps on a mission to do it without em. ive done 480 no straps no chalk so im pretty sure im there jus gotta try it with chalk. heres a video with straps 500x1

Got 495 crushed it, probably coulda tripled it! But my camera died… So I did 500 and spanked that too and got my sister to film it on her phone but I have no idea how to get it off her phone onto the computer. Either I’m gonna have to do it again or figure that video out!

Tried, her phone wouldnt do it for some reason, and her bluetooth isnt working properly either

hey all, after getting 415 back around Halloween, just got 455 with a good hard effort. Still looking for 515 by the next Halloween : ) Thanks to all on the forum for keeping it real and keeping the faith !

Just hit 455 last week. Wanna see if I can get 5 plates by the end of the year

I forgot about this thread. Got 500 on Tuesday.

Deadlift had always been my weakest lift, and I finally made it my strongest. First four plate pull on feb 1! Would video but my gym doesn’t allow it. No straps, wraps, chalk or belt.

Hit 455 x 1 last night. It went up pretty steady.

Got 455 last tuesday. Last nite did 385 x 3 for 5 sets into 415 x 3 for 3 sets. Next max effort attempt around my birthday 7 March.

I wanted 205x1… I got 180x1, 190x1 202.5xfail/fail then went fuck it, 195xfail, then really went fuck it and thought of about six dozen excuses before finishing my workout.

Some times you want it bad. But, you don’t get it. Next time, next time. Atleast I got a good squat PR this week…

I got 475x1. Tried 500 but lost it a little below the knee.
