As soon as I got 495 up, I cussed myself for not doing exactly that…Oh well, still have something to work towards. I have my first meet in March, hoping to make my second pull attempt 500# plus then go for broke

-6 foot; 196lbs; running 5/3/1 Full Body.
-Haven’t maxed for a while but previous best pull is 195kg / 430lbs.
-Goals for the year include a 220kg pull (with better form - have the hips rising problem), so may as well push it out to 227.5 and hit the 500lb mark!

Pulled 460 in a meet first of November. Goal is 500 mid March, next meet. 54 yrs old @ 195

I’m in got called for a hitch on my 505 deadlift last meet. Guess that leaves my clean PR at 475. 5’6 170lbs

170x8. New PR for me on 5/3/1. Puts my 1RM around 215kg. I find that my heavy rep maxes are actually a good indicator of my progress. It may even be a little low, but that was a good PR for me.

Let’s see how long it takes to get another plate on each side.

Pulled last Saturday and got 425, it went up pretty good, was going to do for more but it didn’t want to end on a negative note. Took a deload this week and will ramp up again. Will be doing a meet on March 31st. Hope to get close to 495 for then.

Worked up to 425 +100lbs chain tonight. Then got rid of the chains and hit 405x8.

I’ll throw myself into this. I deadlifted 420 for 4 reps today. Estimated 1rm of 475, I’ll find out for sure at my meet March 31st.

Pulled about 90% of my 1RM today. Bar moved slooow and hips were too high, but next week is a deload and I shall relish it. 460#…

I hope to make it some day. Current 1RM best is a 425 single. Doing 5/3/1.

Did some heavy deads for the first time since August (hammy injury). It’s right where I left it, got 465 very smooth today (475 is my all time PR). Tried 495 and it moved fast off the floor, but I felt the tension on the hammy and hesitated a bit and set it down before I really got straining. I think I got it, and will take video of next attempt.

Im in, haven’t tested my 1 RM in a while…did 425x4 a few days ago…
