JoeGood Gets Better - Rehab & Progress

Again, nice work. Squats look like they are not near needing a reset.
Bet that 205x11 felt good.

It really did, about four months ago I did 205x12 as my money set and my form wasn’t as good nor did I go as deep as I did this time. These were done after mt real squats and both form and depth was tons better.

Sat.- Rack Pull testing

135x5
185x5
225x3
285x1
345x1
285x1
425x1*miss
315x1
275x5
225x10

I set up my plate "platform poorly today and seemed to rush through everything. The 425 set went bad alomst as soon as it broke off the plates. Next week I’m going for a three rep max and then try and figure out where I’m putting these in and what rep/set scheme I’m going to use. I half tempted to add a fifth day, have it be Sat., and use the 5/3/1 scheme for it.

Sunday

Four mile jog through the neighborhood.

It was like a sight seeing trip for under dressed seventeen year old girls.

Sounds like an interesting jog. If not a lengthy jog.

All I could think was that I didn’t remember girls dressing like that when I was that age.

Then I sort of felt cheated.

It is decidely small. Sadly so.

I was sort of stunned at just how little clothing some of them were wearing, it was surprising.

On Mother’s day of all days.

We had this conversation the other day. I could feel my lips getting all thin and disapproving over some of what my older daughter wear’s. Then I remembered some of the jean’s we used to pour ourselves into. It was like camel toes on parade. We all remember the 70’s right? You just aren’t thinking hard enough Joe.

Ms. O, I am sure you never had to use a coat hanger to pull your jeans on. Come to think of it, though, that would be kind of a gateway step to pulling on a squat suit.

Thanks guys, I am honored to have the camel toe discussion here.

Another PR? You whore!

Nice deadlies. You guys and your “cheap PR’s.” I think 3 more reps of 375 must cost something It’s not a weight I approach lightly, anyway.

The are no cheap PRs!! Only BS PRs, of which this is not!
Nice work, Joe. I am actually envious of the rep range you are falling into right now. I know the higher rep crap is good for me, but getting to a weight where you can only squeeze out a small handful of reps feels so good.

The workouts are looking good and I have no doubt these heavy sets are going to really pay off.

If you are sick and tired of the cheap PRs, I’ll take 'em off your hands. I’m not proud.

Seriously, you are killing it over here.

Nice freakin pulling Joe…and GMs at 185…way out of my league…Great job!

It’s more that its a PR against a number from a while back that was a 1RM so I damn well should be able to do more now.
