Jay Schroeder Program

Ok Brandon! You are very very very gentle!

If you’ll want, in september I’ll show you my program based on Schroeder’s method.

I would appreciate seeing it too, if you don’t mind.

Ok Ryan, I’ll post it on this 3d. In august I’ll use only isometric in 1-leg squat, push up and squat.

And perhaps in September I’ll start to use some adsorbing movement with weights…

Jay does not appear to be as forthcoming as he once was.
Maybe because he has been ripped off so much and not appreciated. My opinion.

Couple more questions:

  1. For rebounds you said you did anywhere from 1 rep to 1 min of reps. How/why was this determined? Inother words when did you do 1 min of reps and when was only 1 rep assigned?

  2. It seems like a common theme of people i have talked to say you train 1 trait 3 consecutive days, then let it rest and train another trait. When you train 1 trait for 3 days do you do the same exercises or do they change each day? Do you rotate means and methods. say for strength speed one day do 80%, the next do 50%, and the third do 70% or perhaps one day overspeed, the next straight weight.

  3. Ancillary exercises. For some of the routines i have seen the ancillary exercises are done. Usually in the EDI format. Basically they look like 1-3 focus lifts and 3-6 ancillary movements. How are ancillary moves programmed into the system? Why would one use EDI’s with them? They seem to be the same exercises repeated 3-4 times per week.

Your guidance is appreciated.

If only Jay would put out a manual outlining the basics of his system.

  1. build a sort of specific endurance or work capacity

2.Same exercices all 3 days.Resistance can change in the 3 days. Yes strength speed(50-80%)is used for both DEVELOPMENT and RECOVERY.

3.Never used edi format for ancillary exercices.

One day. Doubt though.

Thanks Brandon

Regarding the ancillary exercises, How were they programmed in relation to the main exercises? When were more speed oriented ancillary methods be used and when would more strength endurance methods be used?

Thanks again

according to specific need and what that exercise will do for that individual at the amount of resistance assigned and the set/rep bracket and associated rest period.

Brandon, can you post a basic schedule of Jay?

I am not a fan of the Jay Shroeder system. I have never heard of anyone who used it and had success with it.

Go and see him.

Yeah, it’d be nice if I could check it out without having to pick up and go to Arizona, though. I mean, I have other things to do.
