Jake's First Cycle Log

Damn Jake, that’s a shitload of waxy maize once again you’re consuming there. Do you REALLY think you need that much to spike insulin and create/maintain energy levels?

On a side note, there are so many idiots posting here every time I take a casual look around the forum, that I feel bad for ever slamming you now, lol.

Keep up the training and stay motivated man.

Sorry for waiting so long to respond to this. I don’t know what is up with my computer, but sometimes it doesn’t post people’s messages until later. Good thing I review my log from time to time. Well, I am still following the workout nutrition protocol that I had been doing prior to this cycle (before world started helping me). I could probably decrease the amount of waxy maize starch on upper body days, but since I already proportioned out over 50 bags of each one, I can’t change them lol. I could maybe take out the “during workout” mix. but I like the added bcaas that I am getting.

Thursday 03/27/08 Day 11

Bodyweight today (lbs): 183.8

Notes:
BW is probably down because I didn’t eat anything yesterday. I can’t have days like that IF i want to make progress. No excuses, no regrets.

03/27/08 diet (high carb day)

Upon waking:
Probiotics
1 cap vyvanse (50mg)
5g BCAA’s

25 minutes light cardio

After cardio:
10g Creatine monohydrate
800 IU vitamin E
3 caps coral calcium
1g MSM
1320mg royal jelly
2x 1.2g fish oil caps
9g apple cider vinegar

Meal 1 (shake):
1.25 cup raw oatmeal
1 cup egg beaters
Handful frozen strawberries
Handful frozen pineapples
1 banana
Sea salt

8g apple cider vinegar

Meal 2 (at restaurant):
Ham
White rice
Cranberries
Broccoli

Meal 3:
5oz raw bison top round
56g raw egg white beaters
2 cups white rice
3oz mixed veggies
sea salt

Meal 4 (workout nutrition):
Preworkout:
60g waxy maize, 30g egg white protein powder, 10g instantized BCAA’s, 7g leucine

During workout shake:
40g waxy maize, 10g instantized BCAA’s, 7g taurine

Post workout shake:
75g waxy maize, 45g egg white, 15g instantized BCAA’s, 7g leucine

After PWO shake (some 20 or so minutes later):
1 shot 10g creatine monohydrate and 5g beta alanine
2 shots 8g apple cider vinegar

Meal 5:
5oz raw turkey breast
56g raw egg white beaters
2 cups white rice
3oz mixed veggies
sea salt

Notes:
One thing I have been noticing is that when I take the apple cider vinegar on a day to day basis, the little acne I have (on my face) disappears. It also seems to help me digest food faster.

The last couple days, I have been taking vyvanse. My doctor prescribed me this because I have been having trouble staying focused (mainly in school). It is supposed to kind of have the same effects as Ritalin, I guess. I asked him if this was alright to be taking with hormone testosterone, and he told me it was ok. I had been on Ritalin when I was younger and although it worked somewhat, I wanted to try something else.

Hey those look cool Jake. Way to go.

Hope you don’t get over carbed with all the maize though dude. You think you are really utilizing all that with no spillover going to glycogen storage? Even with the workouts that’s an awful lot of carbs being ingested within a small time frame relative.

                ToneBone
Like this message for instance just decided to pop up now. Anyone know why this happens? Yeah, camera looks cools and it seems to have gotten some really good reviews. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have a rechargable battery.

Yeah it’s on the sites end Jake. Happening to everyone or at least a lot of guys right now and has been for a while.
Too bad about the battery situation, but at least you found one that works.

Hey I’ve been curious to use the cider vinegar for a while and forgot about it. When are you taking it bud, just post wkout?

Nah, I just started taking it post training, but I have been taking it after and before meals. Not every meal just one or two. Think I took too much today because I smell like rotten eggs.

Jake, Ive been following your progess! Great job on everything. just wanted to comment on the apple cider vinegar

Ive been taking 1-3 Tbs of organic apple cider vinegar ED for about a year. I usually take it right before meals or in my salads, sometimes on an empty stomach

It really does help me to digest food a lot better. It also seems to have helped to lower my BP. Ive had a few friends make similar comments about it too. Never heard of it helping with acne, but im sure its possible.

What progess?

What great job on everything?

All he’s done is go back to his previous and error-filled ways. The only progress that will be made on this cycle is weight gain-- FAT!!!

To be perfectly honest, I don’t even doubt that strength may be lost.

Yet again another post of yours that does nothing to try and create yourself some credibility.

Error filled ways? lol, I am not even going to attempt to argue that just because no matter what I say, you already have your mind made up already. I guess I do too, so you see, it is a waste of time for both of us.

It’s called encouragement world, maybe you should try it sometimes!

I love encouraging people to do the right thing.

However, I will never encourage overtraining, cycling too soon, and improper eating habits.

I’ve got to agree with Bushy, Jake.

I’m sure you don’t want to hear that from me, and that’s why I think it’s important that you hear it from me. What World was doing for you was working.

I must be ‘seeing’ things.

You had a nutrient protocol that had made you fat and everyone said was crappy.

You changed over to one suggested (out of the goodness of his heart) by World.

You saw some positive changes.

You sacked it off and went back to your old, stoopid ways.

Why? For god sake, WHY?

Bushy
Couldnt of said it better myself.

The old nutritional protocol that I was following before did not make me fat. I don’t know why you guys keep thinking that. I was actually losing weight with my old nutritional protocol. What did make me fat was when I was stuffing my face with junk food and eating over 10kcals/day.

Friday 03/28/08 Day 12

Bodyweight today (lbs): 184.4

Notes:
Been pretty busy lately, and I haven’t had a chance to post training logs. Right glute isn’t nearly as sore from injecting this time around.

Legitimate question to the vet’s: what specifically is so wrong with his diet? I don’t know shit about juice [or waxy maize], but his diet seems ok. His training is the only thing that looks a lil’ wacky to me.
bushidobadboy wrote:
I have looked at you nutrient intake, and I think it looks like crap. Others here agree.

So that makes probably over 30 years of combined nutrition experience and knowledge, balanced against your measly experience, lack of knowledge and stubborn attitude.

Well done Jake. Once again, you disappoint me. But I’m sure that bothers you not one bit, since you have all the answers and conviction you need.

Bushy
My measly exp is only based on what I know works for my body type, but I am glad you seem to think you know otherwise. If i eat like you suggest, separating carb/fat meals, there is no way in hell I am going to get enough calories from protein and fat.

I could do this, but I would need to eat incredible amounts of protein and fat to get the amount of calories I need. Reason I know this? That would because I have ate under 5000 calories a day and stayed the same weight for over a year. Thank you.

Disappoint you…?? pfft, I wouldn’t dare.
