First Cycle: Test Enanthate

My Epic First-Time Journey Towards a Better Physique

Dear Friends,

It is a pleasure to join you here on T-Nation and would like to share this experience with you as often and detailed as possible.
On this “journey” I will be running my first ever AAS cycle consisting of 250mg of testosterone enanthate a week for 10 weeks.
Here are my statistics and some background information on myself:

AGE: 23
HEIGHT: 5’11
WEIGHT: 178
Body Comp: About 8.5% BF
SLEEP: About 7-9 hours on average. Wish I could get more. Fuck work.

YEARS TRAINING: 6 Dedicated, with sufficient knowledge. 2 Years before were similar to-kindergarten soccer (you try really hard but are completely oblivious to the game)

TYPE OF TRAINING: Consistent, year-round resistance training. 2 years of my 6 were intertwined with year-round wrestling, soccer, baseball, and cross country conditioning. Past 4 years have been solid weight training years while compiling about 2 hours a week of aerobic activity teaching group fitness classes, walking/biking around town, outdoor running (frequent HIIT as well)

DIET: Currently eating as clean as I did while in season competing with wrestling. Eating between 2700-3100 calories/daily. Caloric intake breakdown is normally about 35% Protein, 25% Fat, 40% Carbohydrates. I don’t remember the last time I ate less than 5 times in a day. Consuming primarily only nutrient dense foods, with the occasional serving of 90% Cocoa dark chocolate when I get stressed out or need a boost with the ladies (About Once a week).

Eating consistently about every 2-3 hours. My body loves me because it is always nourished with plenty of milk, fat-free plain yogurt, almonds, walnuts, beans, spinach, broccoli, extra virgin olive oil, plain oatmeal, cottage cheese, eggs, turkey, boneless skinless chicken breasts, peanut butter, whey protein, 100% whole/grain-whole wheat products, extra lean ground beef, blueberries, strawberries, apples, oranges, grapefruits, raisins (when In need of some high glycemic food), pure pumpkin, flaxseeds, low-fat cheese. Pretty tuned in to my understanding.

CYCLE EXPERIENCE: None, I have been waiting for this time to come for quite some time. Exactly why I called this post “EPIC”!

CURRENT CYCLE: Weeks 1-10 250mg Testosterone Enanthate (Geneza Pharmaceuticals)
Post Cycle 100iu HCG/ed (Pregnyl), 7 days after first injection? / have plenty of 10mg Nolvadex on hand

Here is the forum that shocked me about the clinical research regarding using HCG in this manner. It is very interesting. Is anyone else familiar with this approach? Please criticize and offer whatever you can to help. I am confused as to how to go about using the Nolvadex while using this method. I may just have to use them the traditional way post cycle if there is not much experience with this way.

GOALS: I am hoping to gain about 8-15 pounds of solid, functional muscle while decreasing my fat to about 6-7%.

MORE ON ME: I have been a personal trainer for the past 2 years and am constantly in the gym. If I am not working with clients or teaching group fitness classes then I am taking it to the house on my physique. I have been lifting about 6 times a week and running/biking about twice a week for 20-30 minutes/bout at 80-85% or my maximum effort/V02 Max.

I like to stay lean because it seems to be the only way to keep the amount of muscle definition that keeps me satisfied when looking in the mirror. Therefore, I primarily train with intense circuits or focus on training for metabolic hypertrophy. Over the next 10 weeks I will be posting as often as I can, and will be very anxious to hear any suggestions and answer any questions. Please inform me if I have failed to include any essential information, I hate when people do it but I am getting tired as hell.

Tuesday, November 10, 2009 “First Injection”

After completely prepping (250mg/mL-test e) and stopped being such a woman, I inserted the 1.5 inch, 23 gauge TERUMO syringe into the upper right quadrant of my right glute. I was shocked at the absence of pain that I felt! I definitely thought that this would be much tougher. I aspirated and only got baby bubbles, so I slowly continued with the injection.

After the lovely liquid was in, I waited about a 40 seconds to insure it would find a place to call home inside of my glute instead of following the once intimidating syringe out. I took proper care of the injection site with an alcohol swab, tapped a cotton ball to the site and began alternating between massaging the hell out of my butt and using a heating pad off and on for about 10 minutes. After that it was time to sleep!

Here are some suggestions, do what you want with them:

  1. Try using 500mg a week for 6-8 weeks.

  2. At least research what an AI is and why you should be taking one.

  3. Your PCT may need help.

and yes u should up dosage to 500 mg/wk, but honestly, you should wait another 45 years cause at this rate youll probably be nearing your genetic limit right around then

Oh shit! Man that was great stuff. Kind of like falling while walking up the stairs and you just have to laugh at yourself. Alright, alright. So seriously would it be better to run the hCG throughout or wait until the end? Did anyone even read that article I posted? I am running .25mg of Arimidex everyday throughout the cycle as well. Will take the advice of you good men and boost it to 500mg/wk.

Yes sir I have been lifting. I don’t know what kind of expectations you have but I sure hope that I can reach them by the end of this cycle. Today I felt relatively stronger and noticed some increased muscle pump throughout my workout, which looked like this:

Front Squat - 10/8/6
Various RDL Patterns with DB’s - 3 x 8 each leg
Close Grip Bench Press- 3 x 10
T-Bar Rows- 3 x 10
Military Press- 10/8/6
Lat Pull Downs- 10/8/6
6 minutes of planks (2 min. front, 2 on each side)

8 solid hours of sleep last night. Thank you for the tips, sincerely. I know you have better things to do with your life.

You are using steroids too early. Your workout plan could use a complete overhaul. And without even knowing what your diet looks like I’m almost sure that can use plenty of work as well.

You claim to be holding 163lbs of LBM. But you aren’t actually 8.5% bodyfat so in reality you are holding even less than that. Be realistic with yourself. You are a beginner that doen’t know how to eat.

Funny thread. GymCatalyst, I’ve got to say that while you may limited in terms of size, you’ve got a great attitude.

Since you’re going through with your cycle (and you heeded the advice to bump it to 500 mg), I’d really stress you focus on eating. Don’t even think about BF. Your body will do a better job partitioning calories on cycle, but you certainly aren’t at the stage where you need to put a limiter on that by eating conservatively. Add 750-1000 Cals to your diet. Keep eating more than you previously did once your cycle is finished. I have a feeling your body is going to want to “reject” the new weight that you add while on cycle, unless you really make a concerted effort to stay heavier.

Worry about dropping weight a few months down the road, if it’s really necessary. No matter what you eat, you’re not going to be rolling around at 18-20% BF after this cycle, so why not just concentrate on maximizing those first cycle gains?
