I can hover between 265 and 285 no matter what I do, swear to god. Right now weight loss isn’t so much the focus, as is general health. Sitting 270ish at the moment, but feeling good about it. I will need a really big incentive to drop more than that.
woke up feeling like I’d been run over, lol.
a.m. elliptical 20 min
p.m.
db bench 4 x 10 w/90s
wanted to do close grips, no spotter though. might move my ‘heavy’ pressing back to Saturdays
hammer bench 4 x 12
pec dec 4 x 10
cable bench 4 x 15-20
machine incline 3 x 12-15
laterals 4 x 10
rope down/ext 3 x 15 each
face pulls 3 x 15
hammer curls 3 x 12
mostly just blood flow and also really worked on range of motion
yesterday 30 elliptical
today
playing around
got to the gym to see a new Elite FTS Spider Cambered Bar laying on the floor. This thing is pretty cool to look at.
spider bar box squat 170 x 5, 260 x 3, 350 x 3, 400 x 3, 440 x 3
really different focus on balance, a mixture of the cambered bar and ssb. 440 x 3 went up smooth and easy, training partners permitting will probably do a mini cycle up to a near max with this bar, just for fun
hanging leg raises, glute ham raises, decline sits, rev hypers some x some of each
Damn, you’re a lucky bastard to have all of these bars laying around.

my training partner and gym owner is as prone to injury, if not more so, than me. he just had more shoulder work done, so he picked up this bar, figuring it would help while his shoulder healed. but yeah, we have just about one of every bar out there, minus a buffalo bar, which I am thinking of adding in the near future so I can ‘squat more closer to normal’
Today
before work
elliptical 25 min
after work
yates rows 135/225/275/315 x 10, 355 x 6, 315 x 14
cambered bar shrugs 225/315/405/495 x 16, 545 x 8
v grip pulldowns 5 x 8, progressing in weight each set
face pulls 5 x 12-15
oddly a lot of non commercial gym people in commercial gym. seems a lot of plers, bbers, etc are fleeing a couple of the ‘hardcore’ gyms to the shithole by my house.
Do you think the cambered bar shrugs are very effective compared to regular shrugs? I’ve been thinking about getting a cambered bar for variation for the squat and bench. What’s your opinion on the cambered bar?

this is one of those old cambered bench bars, thing is ancient, think it is great for shrugs.
much different than a cambered squat bar.
today, 6 weeks past elbow and tricep blow out
close grips worked up to 245 x 8
hammer inclines 4 x 8-10
cable chest press 4 x 6-10
tricep dip machine 3 x 10, up to full stack
dumbell tricep extension 45s, 55s, x 10
dbell bench 3 x 20 w/65s
pressdowns 4 x 15, up to full stack
dbell curls standing 40s,50s, 60s, 60s x 10, 50s x 15
ez curls 3 x 8-10 w/135
rope hammer curls some x some, ending in a drop set
tricep strength coming back, stability still iffy
Do eagles really roam by demself?
Sweet cameo.
Looks like you are healing up nicely. Tricep extensions, barbelll or dumbbell, kill my elbows even when they are feeling fine. Props to you for being able to do them with elbow problems.
friends and family in town, took a couple days off, one to party, one to recover:)
hectic day today, got in what I could
early a.m.
20 min elliptical
p.m. (lunch)
shoulders
bent laterals 35s/45s/55s/65s x 15
cable front raise 4 x 12
laterals 35s/40s/45s/45s/40s x 12
calbe up row 5 x 10
cable overhead 4 x 15

sad note, might have to put down 11 year old St Bernard down tonight, not looking forward to this, but she can barely get outside to poop and pee. 11 years is a long life for a Saint…

I feel for you, Pete, it was heart breaking when we had to put down my first Boxer under similar circumstances. But its the right thing to do.
