last night 1.5 mile walk, + foam/rumble roller, stretch
employer upgraded me to an elevated work station, meaning I can stand and work. I felt the least tight and beat up yesterday after work that I can remember. should be a good thing

fortunately my kid is taking his time in that department. I don’t want to be a grampa anytime soon.
cop I used to lift with, he married a woman a few years older who had her first at 17. That kid in turn did the same, so he became a grampa at 31.
My oldest is 27, I was a kid with a kid too! Now both my step kids are teens and I got lucky enough to do this dad thing all over again. My wife and I had a close call with a pregnancy but I wasn’t scared at all. I would do it all over again but hell I would be 67 before they graduated, lol…
decided to start taking some decent weight, start building shit back up. rib still feels displaced but doesn’t hurt
hlr 3 x 10
ssb box squat warm ups then 135 + avg band x 5, 225 + avg band x 3, 315 + avg band x 2, 365 + band x 2, 405 + band x 2, 455 + band x 2, 495 + band x 2, 545 + band x 1, basically started the set with no air, made it through first rep and ditched the bitch on the second rep. wish I had retaken but it was getting late and I had promises of fun at home:)
bench 135 x 10, 225 x 10, ad rev avg band 315 x 6, 365 x 5, 405 x 2.
On rep 2 felt it, a hot serrated knife shoved into my front delt. racked and saw stars for a few minutes. considering this is a weight I repped out for 18 reps or so 2 months ago, this is bad. going to make an appointment with ortho monday, considering the pain and lack of support at the bottom of the bench good guess this is a labrum tear. just need to find out and quit aggravating it. unfortunately the weigh that aggravates it is getting increasingly lighter. fml
csr 5 x 10-15
rolling tris 5 x 10-15
pullaparts 3 x 10
hammer curls 3 x 8
disheartened headed home. to add salt to the wound I managed to stub my toe bad enough that it is now black and blue and swollen.
it’s a rainy day, gonna grab a book and my recliner and just not move much more.
Oh I’m so sorry. I know how that disheartening feeling is. And there’s just no dismissing it until it passes. I think seeing an ortho is a smart move. Best to know what you’re dealing with and your options for fixing. I know both Lil Power and I can relate to serious shoulder injuries and the ensuing rehab. Regardless, you always bounce back. And I look forward to following.
Not that knitting is an unmanly hobby but possibly you may want to rest them joints and create an artfully designed and elegant sweater and scarf set for the next winter. Hope you heal up quickly.
