It's true homies, eagles don't roam in flocks

Hopefully eveything will be ok.

If not I hear they are looking for Zumba Instructors…

well, should have a better idea Wednesday. got appt with ortho in a.m.

Sorry Pete hate to hear this. Good luck

If you decide to switch to full time bodybuilding, I am down.

Best of luck with the ortho coach.

Best of luck on Wendsday!

proverb of the day: ‘he who has broken toe, will stay on heels during deadlifts’

true stuff

got stuck at work late, so tried to move fast

warm ups then 225/315/365/405/455/505 + avg bands x 3, last set a cheap 10lb PR, and went up fairly easy. cut it there because with my recent luck would have gotten a huger pr but pulled or torn something. way things are looking I might be a deadlift speacialist for awhile, so gotta keep it healthy

shrugs 315/405/495/585 x 10
hacks 4 x 8-10

cable abs 4 x 10
ghr 4 x 10
calves 4 x 10

cut it there, was going to RDLs after band pulls but as noted started late, and was actually mentally fried from the work day. happy with the small pr for today

Your Rib doesnt bother you pulling?

Do you do/did any heavy vertical pulling like clean pulls/snatch pulls?

Reason why is these exercises seem to keep shoulders happy and the rotators healthy.

alot of the OLY lifters never seem to have a problem with Labrum Tear. Just thinkin’ out loud trying to help you big Pete.

Haven’t based on risk to benefit issue. Also, don’t know of many O lifters who do reps with 720 in the bench, elbows out. Which is what caused all this nonsense.

20 minutes a.m. elliptical. meant to be longer, long night of 5 year old waking up from nightmares, so readjusted my alarm.

Hey Pete, once you get shoulder diagnosed and know what your dealing with let me know. Maybe throw a few thoughts at you depending what they find.

Will do. Anxious for appointment tomorrow. In a timely fashion, now have access to a football bar, going to see, very carefully, if I can get some pressing in with it pain free tonight.

pressing, sort of

warm ups: pullaparts, face pulls, band pressdowns, ext rotations, etc.

football bar floor press, medium handles bar x 10, 95 x 10, 135 x 10, 185 x 10, 225 x 6, 275 x 6

wide handles 275 x 6, 275 + 1 pair chains x 6, 275 + 2 pair chains x 6

odd bar to get used to, little easier on shoulders but nor a remedy

neutral grip machine press 6 x 12-20, very little rest between sets

pec deck 2 x 20
dips 2 x 12

rope cable front raise/rear delt machine/cable up row 4 x 12 each

pressdowns v grip 6 x 10-20

rope downs/rope ext 3 x 12-15 each

overhead machine ext 5 x 12-15

1 arm pressdown 3 x 15

Pete, sorry the shoulder is still acting up, but kudos for see the doc. I think my last set of reps last March when I flared the elbows was what did me in too :frowning:

but remember, I’m almost 50 and 9 months later after a good rehab (lots of DB reps, like you told me) I’m heading into my next meet planning on getting a bigger total.

Thanks for helping me keep it in perspective.

First visit with doc this a.m. Xrays showed nothing, now have MRI scheduled for Friday, with follow up visit next Wednesday.

Thinking this might, just might be a really bad impingement gonna try and get in for a massage tomorrow.

Crossing fingers for impingement.

Is it an arthrographic MRI (port with dye injected)?
