It’s nice that you get hurt and find out that you can now pull 705 lbs raw, usually when I get hurt I learn that an ice cream carton on my lap is much more convenient than a bowl.[/quote]

^^ This man is so funny.

Pete, it’s just great that you’re doing super so soon after the shoulder mishap. You never fail to amaze me.

Strong work Pete.

squatting, first time with a straight bar in about 3 months. had to work on my form a lot

warm ups, then add loose briefs to low box 415 x 2 x 2, 465 x 2, 505 x 2, 555 x 2

raw 415 x 10

nothing too heavy. 555 felt better than 415 will move up heavier next time

415 x10 raw nice very nice.

Thanks lp, yeah, nice to get under the bar again, almost felt like a real powerlifter

every meet prep cycle I have done I hit a point where I think I am fucking superman and can PR every week with a comp lift. that is usually when I fall apart and shit just gets retarded. that was today

my plan, written on paper a few weeks ago, was some deficit pulls followed by some rack pulls against bands. then gms, leg press, etc. fuck that I said, 705 came up easy last week. I want to hit 725+ this week. moron. just don’t deviate from the plan

also didn’t sleep for shit last night, plus had some internet tough guy stalking me and wanted to make sure that was addressed

here was my shitcan training

hlr 4 x 10

stretch, roll, etc

dl 135 x 10, 225 x 10, 315 x 3, 405 x 2, 495 x 1, 585 x 1, 675 x 1 with a pop in my left calve half way up

shut down pulling then and there 675 was a stupid grinder and my calve was tightening up

finished with

giant cambered bar gms 5 x 5-6

super setted with

cambered bench bar shrugs 5 x 10

at this point I was tired as shit and had received a text from my wife that my 11 year old St Bernard has run away again.

have a really weird crescent shaped bruise developing on my left calve, icing and taking nsaids, vicoden, and bourbon

This is why I don’t want to be super strong, so I don’t have to deal with all the issues.

Wow, 11 years is a pretty good life for a St Bernard; this running away thing must be keeping the dog going.

Thing is, she doesn’t get far.

I think part of yesterday’s horrible training was on Wednesday I pushed the cardio too hard for my purposes. I maintained a heart rate around 140-150 for 50 minutes. I was just too beat up and sore from this to pull properly.

Calve is sore to the touch but okay to move on. Sure I will be fine.

25 treadmill
25 stepper

I had a dog that was part wolf and that motherfucker ran away 1 a month or so…to fuck other dogs on the block. Snokeomo would jump their fence --fornicate-- and then come home…I miss that dog, I so envious. LOL

Neighbors would call me up and say " can you please get your dog, hes humping my dog ,again!"

Dog was fixed so no harm.

Sidenote:

Can you go up on your toes with your calf or even go to a jog? Sounds like a level 1 strain if you can if not able to (pain) its a level 2 go get a MRI to make sure you didn’t tear it too bad.

Hope everything is well with rehab–your shoulder and now calf.

can do a calve raise just fine, it is oddly more sensitive to touch.

Looks like you’re putting in some hard work Pete. You’ve inspired me to try to keep up.

The pop and bruising . . . do not sound good.

You are an animal.
