WTF?
Sorry to hear about he shoulder tho.

You really gotta get a home gym in that new basement, or get back to the ghetto quick.
P.S. good job with the kids. That’s hard work.[/quote]

the rule is if you are the largest person in the gym, you don’t get shit for curling in the squat rack

deja vu: walked into Monday squats feeling like shit due to Sunday’s yard work. Kept allergies in check this time, but my hams, glutes and low back were drum tight from weeding. ah well, sux to be auld

nicely discovered when moving the cambered bar our of the mono and putting the yoke bar in that the bar I have been using for the last few weeks is an 85 lb bar, not 65 lb as I had assumed. confirmed also with bar owner

yoke bar box squat worked up to 495 + 180 in chains x 3.

wore my uber loose Metal briefs, which are now trashed and so big that I don’t know if I am getting anything out of them, so happy with this since my squat has been kind of hit or miss due to training environment. looking forward to going back to old Thursday squat schedule soon, when I can squat with a straight bar again

raw back off set 445 x 12, some kind of PR

lower back felt fubar’d at that point

rev hyper 4 x 10
cable abs 4 x 8

leg ext 3 x 10
calves 3 x 10

prowler 90lb x 40yrd x 8

20 year old kid pushing the prowler with me nearly died. old dude wins

lytp, pullaparts

football bar floor press 10 x 10 @ 225

jm press 135/185/225/275/295 x 6, far from pr but most weight in hands with a straight bar in a while

rev grip db press 55s/70s/80s/90s/100s x 10 never done these before, felt pretty good

pressdowns 5 x 15
laterals 5 x 10, up to 40s, heaviest in a while, progressing

rope down/ext 3 x 15 each

face pulls 5 x 10

football bar hammer curls 5 x 8-10

db bench 60s x 40

20 min stepper
15 elliptical
15 incline treadmill

Hows the rehab coming along?

It looks like if your wrists are neutral you can bench correct?

So…if and when you bench can you really try to screw your elbows close or go to a closer grip?

Neutral not any pain unless I go really heavy at this point, hence the high volume stuff. And yeah, I will be really tucking, which is the way I usually benched accept for the day I got injured, go figure.

pulling singles

hlr 2 z 10

raw conventional 145 x 6, 235 x 5, 325 x 2, 415 x 2, 505/595/645/685/705 x 1 for a raw PR. went up fast, more in the tank hopefully come meet day

leg press 4 x 10

ssb gms 4 x 8

db shrugs 4 x 12
decline sits 4 x 10

really happy with the night, plus got several kudos at new job. life feels good

That’s solid pulling, Pete, great PR.

Thanks Jack, I feel like this was more a mental breakthrough than anything else. Finally think I know how to approach that bar to truly pull what I can.

20 min stepper
15 incline treadmill
15 elliptical

roll and stretch later hopefully, maybe after I sneak home early and take a nap

Thanks. Finally learned to not fuck myself by getting all psyched, popping ammonia, and then getting in a horrible position, which has happened to me every time I have tried to pull over 700 raw over the last couple of years.

I have never used ammonia or nose tork simply due to the fact that if I did I’d be standing in a puddle of blood shooting out of my nose, lol.

great pull’n for a gimp.

i’m hoping to have mine up there soon as well.

Nice PR, Pete!

So, Pete, as a 700 club member, how much are you sending Pat Robertson every month?

It’s nice that you get hurt and find out that you can now pull 705 lbs raw, usually when I get hurt I learn that an ice cream carton on my lap is much more convenient than a bowl.
