Isolation Work for Arms?

Tip: Are Single-Joint Exercises Worthless? what do you think about this study that TC posted? I know that you’ve advocated isolation work for the arms, especially with long armed lifters.

It’s an interesting study. And is in fact, in line with what I do. Yes, I’ve written articles on arms training. But most of the programs I write for Tnation and those that I use with clients do not include a lot of biceps/triceps work, if any.

That having been said, 8 weeks might simply not have been a long enough time to gain enough additional muscle on the arms to make a significant difference. I think it is incorrect to think that isolation work for arms is a complete waste of time for all. It is certainly overdone by most though.
