Is this Routine Suited for my Goals

It is funny because I seem to be puzzled on routines but I have my diet in check.

I am maybe average, when flexed 4 pack visible but I am skinny fat ( but not a bad case) - that’s because I lost 25 kilos in 3 months doing crazy stuff and no lifting.

My plan is to do a controlled bulk, a lean bulk going one kg up a month to build a base of muscle and then cut so I can be more ripped and look like that model. I eat the following way: 1gr per pound body weight protein, 0.45 fats and the rest calories are fulled with a different portion of carbs and proteins - it is different depending on what I want to eat and what we have in the fridge.

I eat whole foods mainly and a lot of vegetables because I LIKE IT ( don’t wanna make you think I am forcing myself to do something because sticking to a diet you don’t like is apt to failure, I do throw in some junks that I like).

As you can see I got a plan and a reasonable diet method but can’t seem to be less confused about routines. It sucks maaan[/quote]

That’s because you are reading the BULLSHIT SPREAD BY NOOBS!!!

Training is very simple.

Train all bodyparts.
Get stronger. Increase reps and/or weights every session
Eat.

Fuck this controlled bulk gain 2lbs a month BULLSHIT.

You haven’t even started lifting yet. How do you know how much you can gain per month???

You think muscle grows in a fixed amount every day? It doesn’t. It grows in SPURTS. This is what 130lb noobs can’t tell you. Because they haven’t built any!!!

There’s a million ways to skin a cat, you need to pick one you can work hard at. Since you don’t really have much experience at any style of training, I would suggest the next few weeks/months would be best spent trying a few of them on for size, and also in learning the big, basic lifts that are going to be the corner stone of any good training program.

Hiss… spit… grrrrrrrrrr

What you’re saying and what everyone is telling you is: you don’t know what you don’t know. The only way to find out is to do something, anything, to find out more about your preferences, how your body responds to different variables, and what keeps you motivated. Having access to somebody willing to help is one big reason to do the program provided.

So that 5x5 thingy is still a bullshit spread my noobs ? You said that those bullshit spreaders are 130 lbs internet-knowitalls ? Stu is someone who looks like he is not 130lbs but 260 lbs and less bodyfat than my dreams  He didn’t say 6-10 is wrong, he didn’t say the program is bad either for 6x a week. But I am a bitch

Yep, noobs like Rippetoe and that arnie fellow. 130lb pansies the pair of them.

What we’re trying to tell you, repeatedly is that no one way is right or wrong.

"I sure would like Rippetoe’s physique. "

–no one… Ever

Arnie six golden workout it is all 4x10 ?!

Well guys seems like at least a proven method should be used. Can someone give me a P/P/L

Am I the only one who read the part about not being able to squat just the bar out benching the bar with 2 5s on it?

This is like discussing what type of 401k plan is best with a 2 year old.

You should not be doing any programs listed in this thread until you learn to properly do all the basic movement patterns of resistance training.

Agreed.

And there is nothing wrong with 5x5. What is wrong is you end up falling victim to dogma when you read things from the noobs spreading these programs like gospel.

The thing is it doesn’t matter what program you do. What determines your success is HOW YOU DO THE PROGRAM. If you do starting strength and lift and eat like a girl, you will end up looking like one. You can do an utterly shitty program and you will still progress if you approach it with the mentality of going to war with the weights.

You have a jacked trainer available for help in real life. Go pester him non stop and try to get as much knowledge out of him as you can.

And while you’re at it, get him to teach you to squat, because you’re probably doing it wrong.

Go to the gym today.

Lift something. Ideally compound lifts. Do it for however many sets and however many reps you want.

Go to the the gym 2 or so days later.

Repeat the same thing you did, but try to do one more rep or lift 5 more lb.

Rinse and repeat until you hit a wall. Then you hit your head into the wall for a couple of weeks and then find a way to get around said wall after you’re absolutely sure you hit a wall and aren’t just being silly.

Lifting in a nutshell.

I don’t see the problem. I started out benching and squatting the bar as well. And he has a trainer willing to help him out in his gym. As long as he actively seeks help from people in real life instead of getting all his info online he should be fine.

Yes, but he needs to be learning how to squat, and to a lesser extent bench first. This is where having a physical trainer in the room is going to help more than any internet advice

Which is why everything I wrote at the start was basically to take his mind away from thinking in absolutes, hoping he would seek help from his resources in real life.

But he went to bodybuilding dot com instead!!! LMAO!!!
