I never understood this either. The physical standards should be the same across he board depending on the job. Women aren’t allowed to do all the jobs in the military and they SHOULDN’T be.
When I was at SERE school (Survival Evasion Resistance Escape) they teach you how not to get caught and what to do if you are caught. You spend a week in the field along with being in a POW camp where you are slapped around, waterboarded and interrogated.
We had two women in our class and the “captors” (instructors) would make examples of them in order to get the male prisoners to talk. Using the logic that men feel more compassion for females and will talk to stop the beatings.
That example above is one reason why women shouldn’t have job equality when it comes to military.

This one instance of a takedown going in a pleasant direction for the end is RARE. In this city, most women like that would also be carrying…and my guess is, your friend can’t put a bullet in a sleeper hold. You do what is necessary to survive, period. Now, back to OP. Should we hit women? The answer obviously to most is highly situational. Fair enough. But let’s put on our “equality” goggles. No matter what the sex, I feel you should not use violence against any weaker individual, male or female, unless necessary to protect persons or property, and then, the force employed should only be enough to extinguish or thwart the threat, following a legal standard of continuum of force. That means if my crazy ass girlfriend (hypothetical) slaps me, it does not give me license to punch her in the face. If she raises up to strike me again, I can and should restrain her if escape is not a reasonable option. If she’s coming at you with a knife, she’s fair game for whatever means you must use to extinguish the threat. This isn’t rocket science.
Now in real life, in spite of what I wrote above (the equality shit pisses me off to no end b/c most of those waiving the equality flag want it both ways), I’m quite a chivalrous guy. I don’t care if it’s male or female however, if you commit violence without good cause, or commit more violence than necessary to defend, against a weaker person, you’re a god damn phucking punk and a POS coward that should have been aborted prior to birth. The world is a phucked up place b/c of people who would do harm to the weak, instead of looking out for those weaker than you - and everyone, everywhere, is strong or weak in one manner or another.
