Nikolai Volkov (Russian) is the father of creatine. He is the Professor and Chair of the Department of Biochemistry at the Moscow Institute of Physical Education researcher in the areas of Muscular Activity, and a consultant to the Russian Olympic Teams.
Didn’t he become a pro wrestler with WWE in the mid to late 80s. He teamed up with the Iron Sheik for a bit there I believe. I know times were tough for Soviet scientists near the fall of communism, but come on…
Guys, the original post bothered me too, but this is the Beginners forum. If you’re going to post here you gotta be able to take the ridiculous stuff that people are going to hear on the street, and turn it around to help them, not ridicule them.
This forum is not here for us to make fun of people, it’s here to help those who are perhaps most in need. [Great, this is turning into a “save the children” telethon.]
Remember that there are dozens of lurkers who have questions but don’t want to get flamed for asking something “stupid”.
I only ask that we use this forum for it’s intended purpose.
Cheers

Ahh… clutch post by Mr. Barr in a minute spell of sympathy.

I just reread the original post and I think most people have been too kind to him.
In spite of the title, his post was not a question, it was a statement that creatine is bad for you and he goes on to say that creatine caused some guy to collapse outside a night club and causes pimples.
Asking questions is cool. Spreading disinformation is not cool.
