Hey guys. Sorry for another noob question. I’m doing my first meet this Saturday, and just became aware of another meet that one of the local teams is hosting on Dec. 13. From this weekend, that’s 11 weeks. I’m pretty new to the sport, so I figured I should get as much meet experience as possible.
Sounds like a decent amount of time. You will learn a lot during your first meet, and then can have about 10 weeks to train and hit some nice PR’s at the next one.
Definitely enough time between meets! It will give you about 10 weeks of solid training between meets which is a great amount of time to hit some new PR’s to top your total in your first meet! Take in as much as you can from each competition though, they are always a great experience! Everything you learn the first time around remember for your second one, it will all come in handy!
Enough time, that’s usually the way it goes, when your new and younger you do the most meets you can and you taper off some the more years you put in…it’s good to get use to ujnderstand the environment and eventually become it.
