here’s 95lbs 1x5 - should have warmed up with a lighter weight.
or better yet, have the hubby help find that good camera angle…raises eyebrows
Got depth? Um, yes, yes you do. Squats look good!

half naked pics on the web don’t sound like a good idea to the husband. That’s why I want to have somethin creative.
Thanks for the thumbs up Maschy - practice and lighter weights really. I see that double bodyweight squat coming for me like in… 10 years. sheesh.

We could pretend to lift beforehand to justify the calories.[/quote]
Absolutely! It would be lovely to be fed by you.
Those squats all look very good to me. You’ve got the low goin’ on!
no, not ten years! just don’t stop…I could walk in any give day and pull 135+ off the floor, not the same for squat, at least for me…
Squats are looking great Nlmain! Good job!

Maybe so, but now that you’ve got form down, I’m sure those numbers will be increasing very steadily!
P.S. Nice benching!!
Damn! Can’t believe how much you’ve improved your squat depth in such a SHORT time. I know you dropped the weight . . . but still! SUPER!!

Thanks Blue - I’m working to add a couple of reps on the big plates but I’m happy that I got to lift those 45lbs again in a few months. Now I’m trying to add weight to my squats. I’m hoping for an honest 135lbs with proper depth again. At least as a starting point.

blushin thanks Snap. For those struggling with similar issues the main thing, for me at least, was removing my shoes and trying different stances. I found that shoulder width apart with feet slightly outwards worked best. Then I simply practiced sitting back in the hole with light weights. Finally I started adding a little weight at a time. I was surprised to see how hard 105lbs was yesterday when you really go atg. I’m also hopping that dropping in the whole “easily” will help with the clean (into squat) portion of my clean&presses which so far has eluded me. One step at a time.
Shoulder width stance with feet slightly out works best for me too. I feel way less in-control of the weight with a wider stance, and wider makes my knee cave issues worse.
Interesting how different stances work better for different people. I’m definitely wider than shoulder width.
^ me too!
