I’ve mentioned Paul McIlroy in this thread before. He’s a top coach and a top guy. He’s based in Centaur gym (Belfast) and has just released his new website. The video section is particularly impressive.
On another note Arsefluff keeps a regular blog that I know some of you read. It’s training related and always entertaining.
Does anyone know of any other interesting sites here in Ireland that would be worth taking a look at? Please feel free to post links…
Forgot to mention Ben Loughrey’s blog. He’s a world record holding powerlifter who trains in the PEC at Queens (he’s trained by Paul McIlroy). He hasn’t updated it since September (think he was injured) but there’s some great stuff there.

Yeh Stuart is the strongest lb 4 lb lifter in our gym when it comes to the Deadlift (he’s the current junior world champion for his weight class). Don’t think his squat and bench are great unfortunately but, personally, I think the DL is the truest show of strength.
Will. I forgot about your blog. You’ve some interesting stuff on parkour and a great vid from a recent Louie Simmons Seminar amongst other things.
WTF
“Egyptian “Hulk” Claims God Gave Him Strength of 30,000 Men, 260 Horsepower”

Thanks man, its par for the course for the PK guys they need to learn basics mainly, particularly PC work, plus possibly the most frequently injured athletic population ive worked with! Aside from that ive got plenty of studies on how narcissistic they are…

40&Big. I’m adding you on the condition that you introduce yourself. No details in your profile? How do we know you’re Irish ;o)

I live in Colorado, USA. I am proud of my Irish heritage obviously. I am 6’6, 285. As you can see, not real fat, not real cut. Just big. I lift heavy and eat alot. Nothing scientific, nothing pretty. Shit, I’m 40 and married, what else is there to do but lift?
Now made the transistion to donegal ireland, changed all my £££’s into funny money and now looking for work.
Hope you lads all had a good xmas
where did u transist from?
if it was uk to ireland u must be feeling the pinch. prices are crazy now with this shite exchange rate.
I moved from godalming surrey, one of the pricest areas in the UK, but i did nearly burst a blood vessel the first time i went grocery shopping
im in the north so we are still on sterling. its still shite but not as shit as the euro must be for you.
Id assume ur now getting paid in euro, you should go for a trip across the border and make your money go sooo much further.

OK. So there’s been quite a bit happening in Belfast recently on the training front. First of all Centaur, my gym, has been taken over by Paul McIlroy. The previous owner “VICTOR” has finally retired. It’s still the oldest commercial gym in the UK (and looks like it to be honest ;o)). I’ve mentioned Paul on here many times and I wish him all the best with this big change for him. He’s a great lad and a very knowledgeable trainer.
Secondly my brother Neil (a.k.a arsefluff - http://www.T-Nation.com/myTNation.do?id=138854 ) has released his new PT website and second edition of his very successful book. I’ve PM’d a lot of you with the address but for anyone who has missed it…
Neil is currently with Charles Poliquin in London this week but hopefully he’ll update this thread with some tidbits of info he’s managed to gleam from the “great man”. Not sure though as I hear they have to sign waivers etc for confidentiality shit.
Any news from the rest of Ireland or are you all just lazy bastards ? ;o)
What happened to the Irish T-Nation?
