Irish T-Nation

Starting this thread for the benefit of all Irish T-Nation men and vixens. The idea is for people to update any information in relation to Bodybuilding/Powerlifting/Strongmen events throughout Ireland. Hopefully we can then all agree on one of these events that we could all attend and get out for a few drinks afterwards. Worse case we can’t agree but at least we know about the various events

Still waiting for some responses from PM’s that haven’t been read yet but the following list is everybody who has responded so far and all have shown interest.

NiallC
Irishpowehouse
IrishMarc
BigAndyJ

If we’ve missed anybody or you want to be included please repost the list with your name on it.

I’ve another 4 who I’ve spoken to directly but I don’t know their usernames including one Vixen (Arsefluff’s fiance Rachel). I’ll update asap

===============
So the next steps.

  1. Can everybody who is interested please update this map?

http://www.T-Nation.com/tMap.jsp

  1. Can you contact anyone else who you think might be interested and get them to update this thread?
    ================

P.S

BigAndyJ has suggested Monaghan or Dundalk around xmas (and people not wearing T-Nation t-shirts must do a forfeit). Not sure about Dundalk myself Andy but welcoming all ideas ;o)

monaghen for the win!

Westenra Hotal: http://www.westenrahotel.com/index.html

top quality hotel, MASSIVE steaks. 90 euro a night.

Brilliant Night Club in the back, sure to pull
Forum Night Club: http://www.westenrahotel.com/forum_nc.html

Cheap “before” Bar
Crazy Camel Bar: http://www.westenrahotel.com/crazy_camel.html

and its all very central, some great bars around the it. and its kind of in the middle of ireland.

Some of us will be going to watch the natural powerlifting meet being held in Queens, Belfast next Saturday 13th Sept. I’ll update details later today and post any results of interest after the comp.

I don’t know if I’ll be attending many “events” for Irish Nation, but I’ll throw my name in the hat. Do Canadians living in Ireland count or is that sacrilige?

Hanley hasn’t responded to the initial PM and I’ve sent one to DickBag.

List updated. Thanks Scott.

I just moved to Cork about 3 weeks ago. Nice island you guys have here…minus the rain, which seems to have replaced the sun in this part of the world. I guess I have two choices:

  1. Become as pale as a corpse.
  2. Fakin-bake to keep my healthy glow.

pale is the obvious answer… and die your hair ginger and you will fit right in. :stuck_out_tongue:

Isn’t it a bench only comp??

I might be up for this, but depends on where and when. I do a lot of my training at weekends and with some big meets to hit next year I’d reluctant to give any time up.

Anyway, keep me updated.

Yes Hanley you’re correct. It’s a bench competition but I’ve been told there will be referees for anyone looking to get totals on all 3 lifts.

All information can be found at

Where you thinking of competing in it or just coming to watch??

I train and work at the Mardyke Arena actually. I’ll be around for sure for the meet that weekend.
