Instinctive Training

Hi everyone

Does anybody here go to the gym and train on instinct? instead of using a program .Its just that i have tried all types of programs before and find i get better results when i just go into the gym and go hmm i feel like doing squats today and i just go and do as many reps and sets as i feel nessesary. I have made terrific gains this way,not much science training that way but hey it works for me.
Anyone else train like this?

Yep.

Instinctive training has something of a bad rap, because inevitably some lifters who haven’t a clue decide to instinctively train bench six days a week.

Provided you’re A) not neglecting weak areas, B) including ancillary movements like those for rotators, C) warming up properly, D) pushing hard enough to make progress, instinctive training is just fine.
