For the last few months I have got a inflamed biceps tendon which I can’t seem to get rid off. Benching is fine (hurts only a little), but any overhead stuff is painful at which point form also breaks down.
Do you know of any exercises which may help prevent this in the future and/or are rehabilitative. And how long can I expect to be afflicted with the inflamed tendon in your experience? The doctor told me to take rest 3 months ago, but I did not expect it to stay inflamed this long… It’s getting frustrating.

ok. where does it hurt? Near elbow or shoulder? inner head or outer? If it persists you should consider that it is something systematic in your training doing it so it won’t get better (and might get much worse) until you fix it. E.g. outside head near the shoulder might indicate impingement (which is scary if you understand what it really is). Or you might have bad form and the biceps is trying to act as a stabilizer. Lots of ways this can happen. Don’t think you’ll get too helpful a response until you are a wee bit more specific.

there is about 5 recent threads on this topic so I would start with reading them. Avoid overhead work and benching for now. Get on some fish oil or NSAIDS and start doing some cuff exercises to promote blood flow. 3 months may be in the chronic stage but cannot determine without physical exam and palpation of tendon
