Increase My Appetite

Having reviewd my progress and looked at my day to day i’ve decided that my diet is letting my down. I think my problem is i’m have a low appetite and easily feel full.

over the last 3+ years i’ve forced fed myself and have managed to increase my intake a bit but i was wondering if there was anything i could do/take that would make me eat like an animal.

Dunno if this is a solution, but Carbolin 19 increased my appetite quite a bit, although I’ve never had a problem eating a lot.

Increase the amount of energy you put out(workout more frequently)

SLOWLY increase calories(I’m talking teaspoons baby!)

Increase them some more(there’s always room for cheat meals)

Eat more frequently(Have small meals every 2 hours that you are awake)

Complex carbs and fats take longer to digest, while simple carbs and protein digest faster, leaving you hungrier sooner.

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head. Eating big is really a discipline.

Liquid calories have always helped me out in this department, as I can drink them even after I feel full. After each meal, when you feel full, drink milk or a protein shake. Over 5-6 meals that’s a nice little 600-700 kcals that you’ve consumed even though you were “full.”

i’ve heard of people having lots of nuts and oils to get the total calories up, but my problem isn’t geting protien or fat but getting carbs, i often eat the odd flapjack and baked potatoe in the day (but i find that these really fill me up and put me off eating again till after my two hours are up). but are there any carbs that don’t fill you up so you can have loads of them. will simple carbs like dextrose work? at the moment i only eat them after a workout with a whey shake, but for instance could i just have a tin of tuna some nuts and dextrose as a snack meal?
PS i’ve never put on any fat, ever, no matter what i eat.

If you want to get in more carbs just for the calories go for the sugars not the starchs. It the fiber that makes you feel full and slows digestion. Fresh fruit juices would be your healthiest choice but drink chocolate milk, gatorade, even soda. The liquids will go down easier without filling you up. Dried fruits are also very calorically dense and not too filling, tasty as well.

Sugar carbohydrates aren’t what he wants to be eating. They aren’t actively used for glycol storage and all that complex shit I’m still learning. Rice has always been a carb savior for me. I can down it like there’s no tomorrow on top of even a big meal and then chase it all down with a glass of cold milk.

Cous cous (sp?) which is kinda like rice is really good for you and really easy to eat a lot of. Also oils are good for calories and healthy fats. Olive oil (extra virgin) is the best. 110 calories per tablespoon or something like that. If you’re eating salads, which you should be, use oil and vinegar instead of the nutritionally dysfunctional shit from the supermarkets.

Starches can be as fast or faster then sugars Look at Maltodextrin, white potatoes, white rice, white bread. all primarily starch based but FAST as shit.

Try and get in high impact quickly digested food like those and fats.

another thing helped me water stay hydrated seems to make things exit faster and leave you hungry

Get some dry oats. Don’t cook them. Throw them in a blender with some milk and protein powder or something. Blend them up until it’s like a paste. Drink that. You can get way more oats down doing it like this as opposed to cooking them and having them bloat.

I’ve done this with instant rice too.

I love instant rice. Just throwin that out there.

HAHAHAHahahahaaaaa…

I dont know why I found that funny.

Weed makes you hungry, just a thought.

Lol ya if you have good munchies food go for it but if all you have is a box of twix in the cabinet it probably won’t be too good of an idea :stuck_out_tongue: I can still feel a big wad of shit stuck in me from a week ago (not really) But it felt like it at the time.

thanks people, some really good ideas here, better than i expected. i do eat loads of nuts my favorite is pistachio, i’ll normally get through a good 100g in the evening. think i might also invest in some extra virgin olive oil and drizzel it on my steemed veg.
there seems to be a bit of disagreement though, can i gain some good weight with simple carbs? i know that lucosade energy tablets contain dextrose and maltodixtrin would they be good with snacks in the day?

One thing which hasn’t yet been mentioned - some fruit is more calorie-dense than others. Eat bananas and grapes.

Ye sure, but i find that at first it suppresses appitite cos of the nicoteen, only when it wears off that you get munchies. besides its an photo-estrogen. and i’m trying to be good

think i could get more from this thread if i give you all a bit more to work with, so here is my current eating plan

  1. x2 wheatabix with whole milk
  2. flapjack and pint of whole milk
  3. baked potato with cheese
  4. tin of tuna
  5. tin of tuna
    • main meal *
  6. 100g nuts
  7. Casine milkshake & BCAA
  • main meal either salmon fillet, whole trout, skinless chicken fillet or rump steak. all served with baked potato or sweet corn and brocoli and spinach.

I’m thinking from the posts so far that i could do well to add maybe a banana with my tins of tuna and maybe some grapes with my nuts. anyone think of any improvments. i’m aiming for over 3000calories but i don’t count them.

Just for the record i also take ZMA, Alpha Male and cod liver oil and a cheap multi vitamin.

Long grain rice
Sweet potato
Milk

Start with moderate portions and increase weekly. Increase your training volume.

I’ve gotten near the point of either busting a gut or puking. You have to ask yourself how important this is. If it’s that important, you’ll find a way. Go throw some food down that pie hole. Repeat five times a day.

By the way, how many calories do you eat a day?

I’ve tried sweet potatos once befor cos i heard how good a source of carbs for glycogen they were, but i was a bit disapointed. baked them like a normal potato but didn’t like it much. are there any better ways to do them? would they be good in a mash?

How old are you, did you have much of an appetite when you were younger (If you have finished puberty) . Your not fat but you don’t seem to have any visible abs in your photo. Try protein supplements
