I’m sure a lot of you have already seen the 6-week bench cure video by Dave Tate and I was wondering if the tips he gave for the flat bench press should be used for the incline press (ie. arched back, elbows tucked). I read on EliteFTS that you should bring the bar down to your upper chest to reduce any unnecessarily stress on your shoulders. What other tips do you guys have? Thanks.
I arch just enough to get my shoulders in a safe pressing position. Not as much as with flat bench.
Elbow tuck is the same thing: enough to press safely without screwing my shoulders, but not as much as on flat bench.
Where you touch will depend on the above two. I end up touching about 2" above my nips.
This also depends on the incline.
Thanks man I appreciate it
