Yeah I lifted Wednesday, but it was bad. Pissed me off. I’ve just been slacking way too much. No longer.

Volume

I did close grip incline. 10 sets of 5 with 185. All reps paused and fast. Long paused the last reps of the last few sets. Did dips. Worked up to 3 plates. A set of 4 then 3. All deep. All fast. Then pendlays with 155, 243, and 287. A set of 5 each. Then did some single arm pushdowns. Right triceps is a little weaker. That may or may not be shoulder/lat related.

I have been wanting to try things like 10x5 and etc. Never done something like it before. It seems like a cool hybrid between intensity, and volume. How’s everything going brodawgman?

I may have to try this. I seem to be struggling in the triceps/lockout department.

I am finding that I have odd sticking points for a raw lifter.

I literally just threw in stuff I hadn’t done in a while and like being strong on.

Attempted clean and press but the flexibility just isn’t there yet.

Strict Press - 135x3, 185x1, 205x1, (205x3)x4

Face Pulls - No clue. Definitely 100+. Jumped from 42.5 to 52.5 to 62.5 with no rest.

Weighted Dips - Worked up to 3 plates for 6 with strength to spare.

Face Pulls - About 40 maybe. Went from 37.5 to 47.5.

Pullups

Everything was great. Nothing was hard. Technique has improved greatly. Found some things I can continue to improve. Topped off with some hot ass.

The first set.

Also worth mentioning that I used keep my reps continuous. I think will carry over to my max a bit more.

Squatted 315 for 5x5. Planned for 10x5. I kept my pace really quick and brought my stance in somewhat. Reps were fine. Strength is fine. Technique is about back where it used to be. Mobility and conditioning just suck. Just felt really bad after the fifth set. Going to try it again. I’m sure it’ll be a lot easier. If I do it, it comes easy, but I still have to do it. I’ve never even done this with my squat before.

Strong pressing man. Have you ever considered you being insanely tight within your upper body? Just from seeing you on your toes on the first rep of 205 makes me deduce you are indeed. You’re just resting the bar on nothing but the stretch reflex that is the mass of your shoulder muscles and you’re not exactly getting a very linear bar path. Mobility shit with the upper body would definitely help, and probably add 10 fucking pounds to your damn press.

Yeah lol.

I really need to use my Sling Shot at some point. I keep forgetting that I have one.

Addressing stats, I’m actually a little under 5’10 now.

this made me actually laugh

We’ve got titan rams at universal and when I bench heavy next week gonna throw one of them on and see what happens

Trying to think of a good placement for it. Either late this week or late next week.

Strong pressing man.

It’s only going to get better. Can’t wait to squat again.

Close grip incline. 205 for 9 sets of 5. All reps paused. Final reps long paused. Pullups then done.
