In Defense of Professor X

Old picture, but I’ve never seen a more appropriate time.

Edit - X is the short black guy in the middle.

These young guys seem to have the most fragile egos, and as is the case, issues get twisted and blame gets tossed on the wrong guy.

Yeah, I’ve argued with X over some things. But they were the issues at hand. I wasn’t pulling race cards or some other bullshit that detracted from said issues, and then when I realized it was a stalemate, I moved the fuck on. And the times when X insulted me with name-calling were the times I was clearly the lunkhead about something.

Take a side, take up the issue, argue it fully, assess the situation, and move the fuck on.

I can’t carry a grudge while I’m deadlifting anyway.
I don’t even make a habit of throwing out insults for no reason. I told Nards his quads were average because they are. I didn’t call him a name over it. I stated an opinion based on what is considered developed in most weight training circles in this country from what I’ve seen. If people like that can’t take that type of criticism, why are they in a bodybuilding forum?

This last explosion resulted because I stated that the short Russian bodybuilder, Alex, looked strange and that even though he may grow into better symmetry (which he seems to be doing now), I had seen that look in other people who started steroids very early.

This statement resulted in Waylander taking offense because I suppose they felt self conscious as if I was talking about their own personal use of steroids…even though I was referring to someone starting at a very early age like 14-16, not someone over the age of 18.

I stated an opinion and got called out for pages and across many threads. One of the other docs here even agreed with my actual statement but that was in the T-Cell, where Waylander didn’t have the facebook boyz rushing behind him so he wanted those posts erased.

That’s the history of this shit.

I am ready to move on. It looks like everyone else who actually is a true vet of this forum wants that as well.
I’m no true vet, nor particularly accomplished lifter ( I’ve been here seen 'O3, joined in '04 and I am 75LB’s heavier than I was when I started out) I stated my feelings and opinion a few pages back so I won’t repeat myself. Overall I believe you are a positive force and valued contributor on this site, your advice has certainly been of benefit to me and I am grateful to anyone who takes the time to help others out and share information.

I’d like to see you stay and wish you the best with your progress, you can just post in your T-cells if the newbies are pissing you off that much!

There’s nothing hypocritical about what I said. If you don’t like whats being said to you, even if you believe the guy thats saying it is being immature or got personal with you, you don’t whine and complain and get personal like some chick.
Yo, MO. Whining ain’t exclusive to the female gender. Just stating the inherently obvious.

I’m not joking. If this thread is still going when I get home from work and the gym I’m posting progress pics in here. I may even post a few special ones. Whipped-Cream Bikini anyone?

You may be on to something there though. The younger generation tends to be very i-/me-centric. They all grew up being the center of the universe, being told they were a special an unique snow-flake.

I’m game.

What I find funniest in this thread, is that I have now found out there is a group of people who are supposedly the lifters with the most potential.

I can’t wait till all of them realize there are actually other people on the planet/T NATION who can actually make progress.

Fucking hilarious.
reading your posts for the past few years, trust me your not one of them.
Past few years? You registered in 2010.

Your comment is pretty weak.Considering you have no idea of what size I am right now or anything of the like, all people seem to register is if you once said something stupid or if you said something they didn’t agree with, or if you haven’t been able to train for your whole damn life?

Who gives a shit as long as I keep progressing which according to some, I don’t.
It’s laughable. I’ve trained 6months at one period I started off weight lifting at 127lbs I’m currently 176 in like 6months of decent lifting and consistently good eating.

You don’t need to be registered to READ the forums, just to post.

Case in point- I was answering a question about benzodiazepines and metabolic rate asked by some new dick bag specifically to a pharmacist the other day. I answered it. He didn’t like my answer and wanted references…I told him to go find his own fucking references if he wanted them. He must not have liked that because he goes digging through the archives to discover that I had a pulmonary embolism 4 years ago, then comes back, makes a post AND sends me a PM telling me that I had my embolism because I used steroids. He even dug up some case study about a steroid-induced PE some guy had.

It pissed me off so bad I couldn’t see straight because, not only was my PE caused by a genetic condition called Anti-phospholipid Syndrome, but my older brother had a massive thromboembolic stroke because of the disorder and is now has Locked-In Syndrome. I wrote the mods and got hid post deleted, and put him on ignore. There are some weird ass people on this board, but that just takes the cake. All over him asking a simple question that he didn’t like the answer to.
That really sucks that there are scumbags like that on this site and just out there in general.

The BB forum is WAY better with Prof X here even with him insulting people’s intelligence, reading comprehension or progress anytime they disagree with him. With that being said, I find the BOI and Training Log forums a much better place to post anyway. Less trolls and no one really acts like a jerkoff in those forums. I can totally understand the original BOI guys moving it to Facebook. If the site was as bad now as it was then, I’d probably want to do the same thing.

This is where my thoughts have been leaning as well. It seems like the older guys have zero problems communicating with each other, but when another age group interacts its a cluster.
That’s exactly what I was thinking too. Not age per ce, but mental age lol.

People need to wisen up and learn respect. Like PX said, if someone said something that’s a bit “funny”, they just shrug it off because the guy who said it has experience/earned respect that we can learn from (you don’t start an e-fight over it).

People picking out trends in others (like PX with his favouritism) is just un-necessary. People are entitled to their opinions. For me, if I saw a really blonde jacked guy, I’d be biased in his favour because I too am proper blonde lol…it’s natural. It does’t mean I hate everyone else who isn’t like that.

He was already pissed since you’d pwned him somewhere else too. Either way, that post was insanely out of line. Completey uncalled for.

Back To the Future IV: Superheavyweight in the Middleages

MODOK, thats ridiculous

Oh right this is why I don’t come here anymore

Alright, that’s it. I’m going to the gym and when I get back I’m plastering my ass all over this thread.

If any of you are sick of the retarded bullshit that is the BODYBUILDING forum, I invite you to give Powerlifting a go…you will never see a bullshit thread like this in the PL forum…much less have a front page littered with them…weird how the stronger you get, the less your ego seems to swell…

X is huge…let’s see if he can keep his fullness while cutting especially if he’s really a natty. I don’t like his obsession with those annoying hammer machines. his anti-free weight training methodology of pyramiding and indefinitely increasing weights does not work for most people. They will probably get injured too due to the fixed nature of those moves.

99% of ppl will not bench 315 after a year or two of lifting much less 405, maybe they will have “legit” 16 inchers if they are lucky. obviously X is genetic freak + very dedicated
