…Da Fuq???[/quote]
Somewhat questionable song choice for a workout video

ā€œDo you want me like the other boys do?ā€

If im watching your bodybuilding/workout video, and i can say that at any time, if someone were to walk in on me, they would believe me watching G4P, then your work out videos suck donkey balls.

Hey guys,

This is my 3 week out update with posing

Let me kw how you think im coming along!

Cheers

Why are you doing bodybuilding poses for a physique contest?

I do the same. Poses for physique are basic and kind of lame, fun to throw up some other one’s just for fun.

Plus if you get good at BB’ing poses, learning how to do them correctly, you’ll REALLY be able to nail the much easier ones on Physique.

The lighting isn’t really great in this video. In some shots it creates added shadows, but in others it actually obscures your conditioning. Also, considering that you’re trying to emulate a certain look, posing when not wearing board shorts doesn’t really allow for adequate assessment IMO. As a bodybuilder, you’re undersized, but as a physique athlete (sporting ā€˜da shorts’), your physique works better. Possibly do your next update wearing the shorts?

With the posing, while I don’t necessarily think being better at BBng poses will really make Physique poses easier, any extra isometric contractions can certainly help in terms of overall conditioning. Definitely looking good overall.

S

Yeah I find it shows more of the muscle so its easier to identify weak points and also see the parts that are looking better than before, physique poses arnt the best for showing overall shape etc

also as spidey said if you can nail the bodybuilding poses it makes physique easier.

Thanks for the feedback Stu, will take it on board.

just curious to know what your diet looks like at the moment whether its changed much since you first posted it? thanks

Hey bro,

Yeah I have made a few changes, I found that I was looking quite flat and also didn?t have that much energy so I added around 600g of vegies per day. It helped like crazy! Reduced cravings, made me less hungry, put on weight without adding fat, more energy etc.

This is my current diet and its not changing much from now till the comp which is in 2 weeks.

Meal 1: Protein shake, half a banana
Meal 2: 1 kiwi fruit, 1 pear, protein shake
Meal 3: 200g of chicken breast (or 1 large can of tuna) and 200g of mixed vegetables
Meal 4: 200g of chicken breast (or 1 large can of tuna), 200g of mixed vegetables and 125g of Kumara
Pre-workout: Half a banana and a pre-workout shake (N.O Xplode - BSN)
Meal 5: Protein shake
Meal 6: 200g of chicken breast and 200g of mixed vegetables
Meal 7: Casein protein with berries

Hi mate!

Looking good, and good luck in the upcoming competition! Blast it!

I just wondering, do you never train low/strength typical rep range (3-6)? Always focusing on contraction and muscle stimulation?

And what is you schedule?

Hey bro,

Yeah i will do an odd week were i focus on strength but primarily i stick to 10-12 reps. also when i do train for strength i will do a minimum of 6 reps, i have tried the whole 2-5 rep thing but i just dont find it that effective.
I just do your typical single muscle spit

Monday - Arms
Tues - Chest/abs / Calfs
Wed - Rest
Thurs - Legs /abs /calfs
Fri - Back
Sat - Shoulders /abs
Sun - Legs / calfs

I never really do the same workout twice in a row, I will always change things around whether it be rep range, exercise order, etc

Thanks for feedback!
Just wonder, how do you see the progress when switching exercises/reps/sets and so on every workout?

I see many of the top bodybuilders/fitness guys train different workout every time, so I think about trying it by myself  I have this thought: As long as you push to the limits in rep range 8-15, keep the rest intervals low will you stimulate the muscle to grow. Maybe like this you think?

I find it the most effective method of training, just because you are constantly keeping the muscle/body guessing… you can have an extremely hard workout however if you do it too many times in a row it loses its effectiveness.

If every workout is slightly different the body cant really get used to it therefore getting the most out of every workout.

To keep intensity and stimulation up through every workout I believe constant change is needed. (Just from my experience)
