agreed, i think he’s going to just be the freak that he is. people worry about him getting too big for his frame and ruining his lines. he’s not a classic looking bb anyway, however he’s an artist and isn’t getting big just for the sake of doing so. chest came up, shoulders are up, tri’s also…he’ll add more trap height and maybe some more mid-back thickness but he’s not going to ruin anything.
i think a shredding and freaky kai can make jay look blurry and win the O. jay is the only threat to a fully loaded mr. greene.

Nitpicking aside… holy crap that conditioning is incredible. Nothing more to say that hasn’t already been said. I don’t suppose you have any more pics of Kai from this contest? For… er… research… purposes?
Any more pics? Kind of hard to judge someones physique off of one shot mid pose. Without a doubt though Kai is a beast.
Perhaps doing the Arnold and the Australian Grad Prix will hinder his later results for the O? Didn’t Cutler and a couple other guys(?) not go to these shows JUST to prepare for the O?

Triceps and traps are still his weakpoints and he’s working on them.
Looking freaky. I’m a huge Kai fan and would love him to win the ‘O’ now, but he’s not complete yet. His traps, triceps, delts, chest, and calves need to come up (some are almost there). He does bring FREAK now though, with those massive, striated quads, hanging hams, and cobra back. He presents himself really well on stage. It’s almost all there, but against an in-condition Cutler or Martinez, and a popping Heath, he won’t be there. I predict he’ll be top 3 this year though.

Just thinking I don’t think pictures do Kai any service, like the Op mentioned he doesnt have that ‘classic’ look. However when the man is on stage he just has that presence, I saw it for the first time at the Arnold a few weeks ago.
When you really look at the past Olympia winners you realize how ‘off’ they are compared to today’s dudes. Dexter Jackson may be the best aesthetically looking bodybuilder of all time. Kai Greene may be on one the best ever. To be honest though if we had to nail it down I still think Ronnie Coleman is indeed ‘the king.’

The guy hasn’t even won 1 Olympia yet and he’s the greatest since Ronnie?
I have no doubt he’ll be a force in bodybuilding for years to come, but really, the guy has to win a few Olympias before we start making comparisons like that.
IMO, he’s just 1 of the current pros making the sport entertaining to watch. Now at every (major) contest there are a mix of 5 guys who have a shot at winning. That’s entertaining.
i suppose i’m kind of on his tip, it’s just not since childhood w/ the Kareem, Magic, Scott, Worthy, Cooper, A.C. Greene L.A. Lakers era has an athlete allowed me to feel kid like again with my admiration or super hero wonderment…that’s a lot of honesty for T-Nation.
truth, from an aesthetic perspective (my perspective) Kai for me ranks near the top of the list, regardless of titles. shit w/out O’s Levrone and Flex make my list.
Ronnie, Kai, Flex, Levrone, Arnie…these are the five guys whom i dig the most in BB. I love dorian for what he’s done and how he’s done it too. I dig branch in the gym just not on stage and think Victor has the best off season build in BB.
i’m just tired of some of the threads so i figured i’d make one that interests me. Sidebar: i’m awaiting the Kai Greene Overkill DVD to arrive, i heard it’s well done, i’ll post a review after i see it.
