Being in college, my option for breakfast is extremely limited. I only have access to a microwave, no stove or oven so i can’t really make anything. My only options for breakfast right now are protein shakes and fruits. But i want to expand my options with what i have. I want eggs but i can’t make any. Any ideas guys?
Buy a blender, put in 1 cup milk, 1 cup oats, 2 scoops protein powder, 1 banana and maybe some pb and/or honey. Blend and enjoy.
You have a micro you can make eggs hell you can make anything invest in a little burner elertic stove thing if need be. make oats,
get a toaster over
Phill
Microwave oats. Add protein powder.
You’re eating the staple meal of thousands of bodybuilders.
I hate adding the protein powder to my oatmeal. I prefer to make a quick drink: 1 scoop in a shaker. Then I make the oatmeal with raisins, cinnamon and splenda.

I agree. There really is no reason to mix it.

There’s no reason to eat oats plain, either. There’s no reason to consume any more artificial sweeteners than you have to, either. If adding the powder doesn’t taste good, that’s your cue to find a new protein supp. Or just suck it up, if you’re hardcore.

What does “hardcore” have to do with anything? If it tastes like ass combined (And I use Metabolic Drive) then it tastes like ass. Plain oats tastes fine. I could easily say to you that you should suck it up and be “hardcore” and eat your oats plain too, but that would be a moronic thing to say.
Here’s what I’ve been eating for breakfast the past few weeks:
500g plain yoghurt
blueberries
2 scoops vanilla protein
50g oats
MIX together in a protein shaker cup
Also,
1 wholewheat bagel
low fat cream cheese
Coffee
That doesn’t require any extraordinary feats of culinary expertise/ arcane apparatus.
I love me some oatmeal and eggs in the morning. All made using a microwave.
Now that I’m back at school I’m going to try the eggs in the microwave routine…I used to eat oatmeal every morning until I started on the Anabolic Diet.
Everyone’s already told you that you can cook eggs in a microwave, but I want to back up the proposition that you get yourself a toaster oven. They’re cheap, and so damn useful you could throw out your microwave.
I think Phil said something about a range grill or one of the mini-stoves…also a lifesaver. With one of those, a small pot, and one pan you could have fried, scrambled, or boiled eggs in minutes, and honestly I’d much rather do that then eat microwaved eggs. I guess that’s the only thing I’m picky about.
Cooking for one person is such a breeze, you need very little equipment, very few dishes, and very little time. Experiment with some different stuff.
Here’s my brekkie - 19/20 days unless i opt to indulge with eggs, bacon, etc.
1 cup dry oats
1 scoop banana Metabolic Drive
2 tablespoons flax oil
handful of blueberries
1 cup of green tea
16 oz of water
- yes i am a creature of habit
Banana flavour Metabolic Drive is the only one I use for breakfast and its the only time I use that particular flavour.
Off-topic - I use the Vanilla Metabolic Drive at night-time, since it’s the only one that doesn’t excessively foam up when i shake it up in my wide-mouth nalgene. Dunno why the vanilla is the only flavour that doesn’t foam - the banana and the chocolate foam like crazy and you have to wait like three fours mins for the foam to go - not worth it when you wanna just down the protein/Flameout pre-bed combo.
troop
1 omega 3 egg
2-3 extra large egg whites
some diced onion
some diced green pepper
some canned diced tomatoes
1 slice fat free cheese(you can find this with high protein low carb in your grocery store)
Nuke the onion and green peppers, then add the tomatoes and nuke some more (tomatoes should cook faster, aand be more palatable when cooked longer than tomatoes). Nuke eggs 1 minute, stir, nuke another minute, stir, add your veggie mix, salt pepper to taste, nuke 1 minute, stir until done. Add cheese, cover and nuke a bit more to melt cheese.
The more veggies, the more quality carbs you get. Add some ground flax seed to the eggs , and add olive oil to the veggies for some added healthy fat/calories. The recipe is a guide for you to make to your taste/needs.
You create your own nutrient break down by how much of what you use.
wow, thanks for the ideas guys!
I oft throw 2 eggs in a bowl, beat, and nuke for 1 1/2 minutes.
Make sure you beat 'em, or they will explode, and you will get egg on your ceiling, in your hair, on the walls, and on the cat. I swear this has not happenned to me…
You can also get an egg cooker for ~ $30 if you don’t like microwaved eggs.
