Today had to have been the most backward, confusing, flip flop switcharoo, pull a 180 and double backflip of a leg workout i have ever done…but my legs feel fantastic right now…So…i R Confuseld
As stated a mere 2 secs ago, today was weird. One reason, i was in and out in a little over an hour…“WHAT AKUMA, BUT YOU TRAIN FOR 3 HRS!”
slap Sass me again, and ill get the stick.
As i said in my thread in the bodybuilding section, my knee still was feeling awkward, so i basically played the entirety of my workout by ear.
Squats (i did this with a Full forward foot stance, at shoulder width)- 20/bar, 20/95, 20/135, 15/185. At this point, my quads were crying in joy. On the 16th rep, i lowered myself not an inch before it felt like my quads were going to knot the Fook up, and we are talking ‘Bow tie.’
Machine Hack Squats (i adjusted my feet throughout the set, starting out high, and dropping low on the platform)-15/50, 12/90, 12/140
Romanian Deadlifts- 15/bar, 15/95, 15/135
Two legged leg extension- 15/50 X 3
Supersetted
1 legged leg extension (Dont ask my why i did this, i cannot honestly answer. Normally i do my leg extensions 1 legged, so i set it to my 1 legged weight, and then started doing the exercise 2 legged. I was like ‘Meh’ and just continued doing em 2 legged, then just as an added bonus, threw in the leggeds) 5/50 X3
Hamtractor- 15/180 x 3
Hip Abductor- 20/50x3
My legs felt great. I cut out several exercises, used 1/2- 1/3 the weight i normally do (planning on going light anyway, the heavy will be instituted soon enough), and my legs felt great. So i kinda went w/ the flow and enjoyed the ride. The weight was not really difficult, as i was still able to sing along with my favorite songs without missing a beat, but i was dripping sweat by the end of squats. All in all, definitely a good day, im sure my legs appreciate getting some work.
As for mentality…hmm what do i got for you today? Ok, be gentle, this is coming off the top of my head heh…
“Progress further, my broken soul,”
i softly mutter, as i collapse to the floor.
My eyes become heavy, the light fades,
consciousness starts slipping away…
“Wait!” A voice cries out to me,
a shadowed figure, whom i cannot see.
Fire cracks, light expands,
The man in front of me now clearly stands.
“You are not done,” was his gentle remark
“You’ve only just begun,” and disappears with a spark.
Life renewed, strength regained,
I stand erect, unphased by my pain.
“Brush yourself off,” i say under my breath,
“you’re not done.”
“brush yourself off,” I mutter again,
“you’ve only just begun.”
