I Saw Bigger, Stronger, Faster Today

Very cool, I watched it on the link, but I’ll definitely be buying it.

Just finished watching it. I had only intended on watching the first few minutes to check the quality and get an idea of what it would be like.

I was hooked right away and ended up watching the whole thing.

Although there wasn’t anything new that most of us probably didn’t already know, or at least had an idea about with regards to the “evils” of steroids, it was still pretty informative. I agree with everyone else who said this should be required viewing. Oh, I also had no idea about the side affects of (gasp) Vitamin C.

The whole thing was funny as hell…sorta like “Supersize Me” by Morgan Spurlock.

It was very entertaining for a documentary.

I had dinner with friends tonight and this was the movie we talked about.

it was a really good movie/documentary.

I am still pissed about Congress

So if I had a surgery could I request steroids to assist in my recovery?

It is also making me think of things that should be happening to help my elderly parents as they are shrinking before my eyes.

BUMP

because I just saw this and it was great.

It doesn’t glorify steroids. See it before you make criticisms.

I saw this movie over the summer and I thought it was just alright. I didn’t like how synthol wasn’t discussed during the Greg Valentino scene. If the film is going to emphasize Valentino’s out-there physique, it should make it seem as though steroids are solely responsible.

I also felt that Bell tried to put too much into the movie. It seemed like a lot of important points were glossed over without being substantiated with evidence, and I think that’s a flaw.

There were definitely some eye opening scenes though. The one with the Congressman comes to mind. The where all the football players he coaches were talking about how he would never use steroids was pretty heartrending. What’s going to happen when they see this? All in all it’s worth a look, and I like what they tried to do with it. I just wish there was more solid evidence and less jumping around.

I lost this thread somehow…

I bought this about a month ago, and am pretty happy with the movie. It sort of makes you think about both sides of the coin of steroids in professional athletics, and does a great job of leaving objective facts and data to ponder.

Great movie, a must own for any lifter, athlete, or casual sports fan alike.

I love this movie. My wife and I rented it from blockbuster and I now own it because my sister-in-law got it for me for x-mas. I have watched it 7 times now and it just gets better. I have thought about steroids but I compete in the N.A.S.A. federation in powerlifting and they test. Anyway I agree about congress and I think they should watch this great film.

For those who haven’t got their hands on a copy yet.
Here is part 1:

Dang. The dad saw that one coming.

Does anyone know if there were consequence for his brother that was a gym teacher?

I mean he did lie to a lot of kids that looked up to him saying that he wasn’t taking anything and he admitted to on-going illicit drug use.

It was Mike Bell that passed. Mark is the one who trains over at Super training gym.

He wasnt a gym teacher, he was one of the football coaches. I asked him on Elite something to this effect and he said he no longer worked there. Not sure whether he left ahead of the movie or what.
