I don’t seen how it’s a problem, if it is what are the consequences
Well good luck then.
How about sticking to a plan and trusting your coach.
In the meantime how about a bit… well a lot of research until you know the ins and outs of powerlifting before posting some dumb non specific questions and expecting the entirety of powerlifting from basic principles to specifics to be given to you on a silver platter/post.
How about do a bit of reading on shit like self discipline, reliability, etc.
If you know what you are doing and have the confidence that comes with this a lot of your “problems” becomes a non issue.
If you knew how to program or follow a program then truly “bad” training sessions should be very rare. If you understood that in the big picture/long term a bad session, week or even a month mean nothing as long as the trend is upwards over years.
Teh fuck you here wasting time (everybody’s) for when you should be doing something productive like getting on the grind, working and learning. If you got ideas, specific questions or gaps in your knowledge this forum has got your back.
Unless there’s a psychologist or psychiatrist hereabouts you won’t find a solution for your anxiety, catastrophizing and such. Go see a professional.
This is a concern. That’s not a healthy mindset in the slightest. Not to mention, it really doesn’t sound like you have much innate ability for the sport, so you’ll have a much harder time attaining elite level - that’s not to say you won’t achieve it, you’ll just have to work a ton harder than those who do, and those represent the majority of people who hold records. Fixing your attitude is probably a good first step, because progress and fast don’t usually go together.
I reckon that to be a world champion at anything there probably needs to be something not quite right with you to begin with haha

I thought this mess was due to your inexperience. I apologize. Its actually your coach who sucks.
Get a better coach because any coach who counsels a beginner to drop weight to enter a meet of no consequence is clueless. Find someone local or pay for some online coaching with someone like Wenner, Swede Burns, etc.
Good point. When I first started lifting I weighed 165lbs at 5’-7". With no training I hi bar squatted 275 for 5, benched 200, and deadlifted 365. It took 10 years to squat 615, bench 375 and dedlift 545 at 220. The OP needs to think along the lines of improving week by week and the years will add up.
Sounds like manic depression/bipolar disorder.
Though true, I don’t tend to see it manifest this way. I typically observe overconfidence and arrogance rather than neuroticism and self defeat.
eh, I beg to differ. I just have to fix my attitude which your right about and that’s it. I have good genetics and I gain muscle and strength quick but only under certain types of training. I think I just had a bad day.
ah ok, a diagnosis from someone on tnation, I should be worried.
no need for professionals. Every time I follow a program, not under a coach I barely have bad days but when I’m with a coach, bad days seem to occur more often.
he does not program my deloads
Oh is that all?
Aren’t deloads an essential part of a powerlifting program?
I’m going to quote this post right back to you if you come back and start a third one of these threads in the next 2 or 3 weeks.
Yes they are but they are not programmed by my coach. I had the best progress running Blaine sumners programs.
Cool, I grasped more information from this post than the last. I understand that shitty days happen, get a better program/coach. Finally I Understand that this a long time, and that I have to stay positive.
Are you for real or are you just trolling?
I’m being for real, why is it so hard to get advice nowadays. Some people here are great while others can’t except the fact that I’m trying to learn as much as possible and therefore act they way they act.
