Yep i have. I was sitting here behind the desk and hunger was playing with my mind, locked in a battle of temptation vs. willpower. Suddenly i saw a sausage and egg English muffin sitting here in fron of me, like it did in the past. I reached for it, grabbed it and put it in my mouth. Then in a blink of an eye it was gone. I sat back with a WOW!
Just so you guys know i am doing the velocity diet, but i broke down the macronutrient ratios and replaced them with solid foods, fluctuating between 1650-1950 cals daily. FUN FUN FUN.

So you’re not doing the Velocity Diet. You’re doing your own version of a very low carb diet.
The Velocity Diet involves drinking Low Carb Grow shakes and eating very little solid food.

Sure if you want to be a stickler about it. But the essence of what makes it what it is, is mainly the macronutrient ratios and total calories taken in, the shakes are just a method applied for the sake of simplicity, in otherwords the package is the same but delivered FED-EX rather then UPS.

But in essence you’re right.

Part of the process of the V-Diet was also to change tastes and attitudes toward food. By eating only reduced food, I think you change the entire dynamic of the diet, possibly sabatoging it from the beginning.
Less food leads to cravings. Being stuffed full of shakes and flax meal all day leads to wanting to eat less, with no room for cravings.
And I can’t be both right and wrong at the same time about the same thing.
I’m good…but not that good.
Shugs and I had these same conversations, and Shugs had them with other people as well. I would occasionally eat a package of tuna with 50 odd grams of protein and no carbs, just for something different.

Yea i hear you about the cravings, they’re pretty bad, but now it’s the 4th day and they’re gone 90%. I now actually have to remind myself to eat. Believe me i don’t give in on a diet, it’s a personal self respect thing for me. I just replaced “some” the shakes with things like spinach, asparagus, tuna, chicken, and a few of the standard protein shakes like the diet dictates.
I guess it’s not a problem because i have been at this for 12 years, so the diet is easy, but the motivation to start it is not. And this is where i thank T-Mag and all it’s members for my new motivation.
Just curious what kind of results you’ve had so far? I don’t plan on dieting like this until I pack on a lot more mass. Is there any strength lost at all, also how about energy levels?

I was hoping for the same thing…leprechauns are evil!
I’m pretty sure it doesn’t matter if he eats whole food or in shakes. It is the caloric/protein/fat/carb content that counts. The fact that you are justifying it not being the Velocity Diet because the purpose of “changing your tastes with food” can’t be done without 5 scoops of Grow! a day than I suggest you demand advertising money from Biotest.

cute. Why not PM Shugs and see what the creator of the damn thing has to say?
Or you could just take pot shots at me…

btw, since I’ve been taking Biotest supps and reading stuff here I’ve lost more fat while gaining more strength and muscle size than at any time in my life.
I feel better, I look better, and even my temper is better.
If that makes me a Biotest Slut, oh well.
I’ve hallucinated quite a few times myself; for various reasons.Meds I have had to take in the past for whatever reason.
oddest one was when I was 11; Jesus was sitting ontop my television (note I was not raised in a strict religious fam) an a pig in the corner of the room.
Once I was looking down an it was as if I had short legs; like DORF…
I was so zonked out once I was trying to peel a coffee cup, I thought it was an orange.
If the Velocity Diet causes hallucinations then half of my gym must be on it. If I see another 145lbs dude flexing in the mirror after his hour and a half bicep routine while yelling “Yeh, baby, I’m jacked!”, I’ll spew.

I have no strenght loss at all, In fact it’s increasing but i had a short layoff, so it’s to be expected. The results are pretty good and this is still the first week but the energy levels are actually better. Also like Joe Wieder mentioned, mental state is a lot more calm and collected, not that i was a basket case before or anything, lol! I am loosing a lot of fluids though, and i mean a TON, i should end this week with a 7-10 lb loss in weight. I’m a bigger dude (6’3 240lbs) so i can hold gallons of water on my body.
