I hate Squats Club

I need to get back to doing more ab work. Nice core work.

Nice core work, OG. I would do some myself, but, conveniently enough, I am morally opposed to it.
Oh yes, zerchers. Those should be fun

Thanks Joe and Strick…

Zercher pre-load day

3x10x120 now I remember why I love to hate these!!

RDls

3x10x95

DB lunges

2x8x35

one more day of this and then I am jumping back in with a new cycle. Feeling sore for sure, I think my toenails ache…but I figure I am going to be hurting no matter when I jump back in so better now than later.

Peace

You are doing a better job than me coming back. Nice work OG. Hope I can get back to the level you are soon.

Yes sir. Almost there. Hope your 1st week back on 5/3/1 is less painful than mine.

Strick, we shall see shortly.

last preload day this AM.

DB shoulder press neutral grip

Neutral grip chins

BW 7,5,5,

Seated cable row

3x10x90

Sunday starts the chaos again…Can’t wait!! Peace

Coming back to the 5/3/1 darkside. Excellent. Laughed when I read your toenails ache. I know the feeling.

WooHoo! Preload is done and now the fun begins.
Soreness starting to wane any?

Edited to ask: You may have said this, but did you son pic a school?

Just mild all over soreness, although my tris are a bit tender.

as far as my son: no he has not, should happen this mid-summer or there abouts. He is however still leaning heavily towards Syracuse. I am trying to get him to expand his outlook and not rule out schools, but he is stubborn like a goat! That was very nice of you to ask.

“Stubborn like a goat”…I wonder where he gets that
You need to steer him towards Chapel Hill. Remind him that southern girls are more hospitable.

“Remind him that southern girls are more hospitable.” Sho nuff’. Spend some time upstate NY: Rome, Ny (Griffiss AFB), and they was pretty friendly there, too. Both schools got a heck of a Lacrosse tradition.
Time to hit the big weights again. Go for it.

Indeed they do Harry! the lacrosse is excellent at both schools.

Day 1 return to madness

neutral grip Incline DB Press

60x5
65x5
70x7 ( actually felt pretty good, a little unsteady but that should come back quickly…I hope!)

Neutral grip Chins

BW 8,7,5,5,4 ( man I sucking wind on the last two sets)

Incline Tates

3x8x35lbs , 1x6x40

That was enough for day 1. Did not sleep well his past weekend and spread 8 yards of mulch to boot…energy level was a little low this AM… 2 puppies in the house doing the whinning thing at 1am and again 3:15.

Great to be back!!

Peace

You’re right, it’ll come back pretty quickly once you get into it.

Great to see you back at it. And, yep, it’ll come back pretty quickly.

Incline tates? Hmmmm…I will have to check into those.

Thanks Guys appreciate the support!

Zercher Squats

ZERCHER BBB

DB rev. Lunge from deficit

3x8x40

I looked like Gumby going down the stairs outside the gym. Legs are toasted…I definitely have the GIMSS ( Goats Instant Muscle Soreness Syndrome).

Peace

I hate it when it sets in immediately. I think it is tied to the higher rep work.
Good job.

Lunges are for gymnasts and people with balance.

good job.

Cardio /Ab Day

45 minutes bike…the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes were comical ( as long as you weren’t me) so sore and stiff and then at the end just burning…

Palloff Press with 10 sec Iso hold

3x3sidex60lbs

Planks

3x90secs

Side bridges 2sidex45 sec

Went home, went outside with the puppies and banged out 3x75yards Zercher carries with the Slosh Pipe, beautiful morning here in New England…the pups followed me back and forth with a look on their faces like what is wrong with this man?

Time for a Goat Nap.

Peace

I still need to make my slosh pipe. Maybe this weekend. We’ve got some great sports going on tonight in NE. Bruins, Soxs and Celts are all on tonight. I love watching 3 channels at the same time. My wife doesn’t though, weird.

How tough is it zercher walking with the slosh pipe? Do you really feel the arms/abs/lats…

Nice work, OG. The core work will really payoff.
I just have no stomach for it…get it? core…stomach. Oh nevermind.

What qualifies as great weather? Here, it is about 60 in the morning and 80 in the afternoon. Pretty nice. Though, 75 would be better.
