I hate Squats Club

Nice synopsis OG. The next cycle will be gang busters

Yep. Appreciate the conclusions. Useful for us starting out on the program.

Good work, sir.

That was a lucid, well thoughtout objection…thank you…over ruled! Nice assessment of the 531. My feeling is if we stick to the basic template, the little stuff we add enhances, not degrades, it.

Good lifting, OG. Enjoy the deload and then get back at it.

Great work, OG. Enjoy the deload. Looking forward to watching as you keep moving forward.

5/3/1 is a training system put to paper by the one and only Jim Wendler. (And the cult of Wendler continues!) Deload is, um, ahhhh, shit, most of us don’t know  Actually, it’s where every 4th or 5th week, depending, you cut all your work in half for a week before hitting it hard again for 4 or 5 weeks. Built right into the system.

Going to check out for the next 2 months. got work related issues that will preclude me from being in the gym much.

Since deload is going to be sooooo long… I decided to 1RM test my CGBP today…worked up to a single at 265! PR+15 lbs…then I left the gym uninterested in doing anything more; it felt great!!!

My best to everyone on this site. Lift heavy things, set PR’s, grow wiser and whatever you do …ZERCHER! I will check in from time to time to make sure no one is SLACKING off!

All the Best,

Peace

Hey OG, Did your young’un make his college decision yet?

JW- No, that won’t happen until summer when the schools will step up and make him offers. Although he pretty much has his mind set on Syracuse or UNC…and once that young GOAT makes up his mind…man, can he be like his mother! Thanks for asking.

OG, congrats on the PR. I’d love to add 15 lbs to my CGB. Take it easy. See you soon.

I vote for UNC…but I might be biased.
OG, hope everything works out okay and squeeze in a workout wherever you can. We will save your spot.

ECO- Thanks brother, it was a great feeling particularily since I will be sidelined for the next few weeks

Strick- thanks for the placeholder; would hate to lose my seat at the table.

JW and Strick- I’m with ya, it would save me a boatload if he would choose UNC. Problem is he has been bleeding Orange since he was about 7. Hard to even get him to look at more schools…

Managed to sneak in one more session before chaos starts tomorrow with 14hr days, 6 days a week…

So instead of dead deload I tested 1RM…

SUMO - 225x5 275x3, 315x1, 335x1, 345x1 ( PR +20)…

GM’s

115x10x2, 125x10x1, 125x8x1, 135x6

Fat Burl Curls for Mrs Goat

4x10x90

Peace…now for the grinder

Way to go on those sumos OG! Good mojo to you on the upcoming grind.

Great PR! Good way to head into the abyss. We’ll be looking for you on the other side.
