i don’t see where extra calories go about in that simple equation…
Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and protein is the building block of muscle. That’s what makes it… so important for growth… where the fuck does calorie come into this ? how does EXTRA or regular calories support scientifically speaking with muscle growth and protein…
You could be eating about 500 grams of protein. Let’s say you’re 200. That’d be 2000 calories (very few) and too much protein for your needs. You also need to ingest more nutrients than your basal metabolic rate plus your activities. There’s no way you’ll be growing on only protein, plus you need essential fatty acids to produce hormones and optimize the functions of your body. Bodyweight x15 to 20 is a good place to start when talking about cals for mucle gain.
It takes enery to turn protirn into muscle.
And extra calories are needed to handle the increased and or more intensified workload associated with muscle
Im gonna go out on a limb here and say dont think about it just look at all the huge guys who have come before you who all say eat a ton, get lots of protien and train hard.
If your body isn’t fed enough calories for metabolic function and everyday activities it will use the energy you ingested from protein and/or break down your muscle & fat stores. This is why you need to ingest enough CALORIES to support your basal metabolic rate and provide extra energy to support growth.
heard of hgh and steriods? so if there is 9028590859048950839405 scientific explanations for protein = muscle growth where does calorie come into play? how does it support muscle growth?

If you’ve done any reading or even the slightest bit of research on human growth hormone or anabolic steroid usage; im sure by now you wouldve noticed steroids are not a saviour for a crappy diet. Steroids + insufficient calories = fuck all.
The question of where do calories come in to play if protein = muscle growth does not make any sense. Take into consideration that protein itself is calories. You should be asking is where do carbs and fats come into play.
If you’re not trolling and really are trying to learn then my assignment for you is to eat nothing but protein powder and drink nothing but water for one week and see how you do. That should give a fairly clear description of where carbohydrates and fats come into play. Oh and dont forget to work out during that week.

that’s what i was looking for man thanks alot… but another question is should I do a mix of low intensity and HIIT cardio on my off days? or OFF days are meant for feeding your muscles?

What kind of goals do you have? I myself am just looking to get bigger, so an off day for me is feeding my muscles and letting them recover. If I gain some extra fat then oh well, just as long as its not excessive.
If you’re trying to bulk then I dont see a point in extra cardio. But I have alot of growing to do as well, so I’d wait and see what the bigger guys around here have to say. I’ve seen Elusive’s posts and he seems to know his stuff, take his advice.
