egh… i’ve been leaner and stronger. and i’ve had a bigger ass and a smaller waist.

til i dominate those enigmas again i will not be happy. lol
Gym mirrors are EVIL.
I’m like “Yeah, I know I’m bloated. Don’t remind me.”
Great job getting back on track with the eats. I think the off-eating days make us appreciate a good eats day even more.
yeah they make my belly look huge. my arms and traps too. i look like a freak in those mirrors. i don’t get why they do nothing for ze glutes. cry! glad to know they are enemy to us all.

you could just not look in the mirror…

but hey. im glad youre around.

you speak the truth. i’ll work on closing my eyes the entire time i’m in the gym. =+/

kept calories low so far today. decided to go to the gym and get in some “cardio”. not the easiest task without ANY carbs… but i got through.

first i went on a slow 40 minute walk. then headed to the gym.
there i did some 20 rep sets of super light angled leg press (135 lbs)
5 sets of 10L/10R bb stepups @ 85 lbs (hard!!!)
some walking lunges with 35 lb dbs
15 minutes on the treadmill at good incline
5 minutes pushed super hard on bike
5 minutes slow on bike

now i’m gonna get in a dash of food and then tonight i’ll eat a good sized meal at the sushi place i’m going to. drool!

Walking lunges with the 35s is very stout. Your ass will be sore tomorrow, I’m betting.

lol! i also thank you for the addition of weight numbers.

How did you like them snatches?

And nice step-ups! 85lbs is indeed ‘hard’. HAHA!

Enjoy your sushi mama!

those step ups are hard!!

I just started incorporating them because in the past they hurt the knees.

Damn, that’s a cardio sweat session.

kimba… those lunges with 35’s were rough! i definitely had some ass doms. dreamy!

yeah the stepups get really hard once you’re taking more than 16 steps or so. those 20 step sets are tough… but i love them cuz they nail my legs and core and get my heartrate up quickly. and i’m so freakin happy to have a nice box to step on… since at home i was using a wobbly stump. hahaha

so i had WAY too much to drink wednesday night. total fail. i gotta quit doing that. i’m making a new rule in the 200 pt challenge i have on another site and now any day i drink more than three drinks i lose a point. three is enough to have fun and “relax” and not act like a fckn fool.

yesterday was spent trying to recover from feeling like a bag of assholes.

so that meant friday night was gonna be deadlifts. gotta love how empty the gym was. i was the only soul in sight. swoon!

decided to do some conventional deads. it’s been ages since i’ve done any and i’m gonna get that back in weekly now.

can’t even remember the last time i deadlifted with shoes on or without chalk.

anyways it went better than i thought it would.

deadlift: 135 x 8; 185 x 4; 225 x 3; 255 x 1; 275 x 1, 1
deadlift: 185 x 10, 10
glute kickback machine thingee: 90 x 10L/10R, 10L/10R
angled leg press: 185 x 15, 15

I found that posts always disappear in this journal. Hmm…

Those deadlifts are amazing.

yah i must be on some super special black list. sexay! lol

so i realized why the stepups at 85 were so hard the other day… they were actually 95. doh!

today was our holiday party at the livestock auction job. some good catered mexican food. i ate a nice size plate, a small brownie, and had one beer. then i went to the gym.

workout:

bb bench press: 65 x 8; 85 x 6; 95 x 5; 115 x 3; 110 x 4, 3, 3, 3
db incline bench press: 30’s x 8; 35’s x 8, 8, 8
db rows: 50 x 8L/8R; 60 x 8L/8R; 70 x 8L/8R
bb stepups: 95 x 8L/8R, 8L/8R, 8L/8R
lat pulldowns: drop sets… can’t remember weights
tricep rope pulldown thingees: drop sets…can’t remember weights
pullups: bw x 2, 2 (was toast by this point)
hanging knee raises: bw x 10, 10

my lower back had such an insane pump after the stepups that i had to just do some machine stuff. still got it done.

Lol! computation fail!

Dude, i’ve been up to no good with my diet these last few days, so I feel ya. At least you’re holding yourself accountable - literally!

Excellent DLing! Oh and now that I use chalk at my other gym, i think i also want to bring it with me to my regular gym. I didn’t realize how sweaty my hands get!!

Nice upper workout woman. 70 on DB rows is awesome!

And yay for the lower back pump! That’s hot.

3 drinks sounds just about right, unless your downing them in 5 minutes

I try to pace myself a drink an hour with mineral water in between. Atleast for the work functions. When it’s family and friends I just growl at whomever is trying to empty MY bottle of wine…

just imagine the things you could do if strength was your whole focus…damn woman!

thanks maschy baby!

lol @ the growling, n.

but i’d also be pudgy as hell in the middle. haha

interesting article on dl’ing. definitely will get all ya’lls panties in a knot around here since everyone here seems to be heavy on the hips low style. but lots of good points.

Deja: Thanks for posting the link to that article. It’s an interesting read.

Ha, thanks for that link. I feel much better after reading that, given I only just posted some horroshow videos of myself deadlifting this morning. Question is, am I a roundbacker or a catbacker?

Vids of Cal?! sprints to Cals log for view of the goodies

Hmm…interesting article. This is def good info to know! Thanks mama!

was sposed to hit legs last night… but ended up finding out a friend’s hubby (who’s a diver/fisherman) makes his own sushi. so spent the night eating some seriously bomb sushi, drinking a couple glasses of wine, and watching that awesome eclipse. we’ve had rain for five straight days without a single break in the clouds and by some miracle they broke for about 1.5 hours RIGHT when the eclipse was going down. it was phenomenal. =+)

so anyways got the workout in this morning:

bb back squat: 45 x 8; 65 x 8; 95 x 8; 135 x 5, 5, 5
bb step ups: 95 x 6L/6R; 105 x 5L/5R, 5L/5R, 5L/5R, 5L/5R, 5L/5R, 5L/5R, 5L/5R, 5L/5R, 5L/5R, 5L/5R
bb rdl: 155 x 12, 12
db farmers walks: 55’s x 50 steps, 65’s x 50 steps, 50 steps, 46 steps

what are you using for step ups? thats good work for just recently doing them again!!

they have various boxes at the gym. i use the middle one which i’m pretty sure is 14-15". =+)
