Tnat seems to be messing w us deja…

yeah T the weather has been beautiful to boot… life is good on ze farm. =+)

went with one of those main reps only days today. mostly cuz my back and legs are getting slammed with farm chores and i really don’t want to overdo it and end up getting hurt.

deadlift: 155 x 6; 205 x 4; 230 x 3; 265 x 3; 295 x 3

kroc rows are killer… I can only do them when I’m at home at the pro gym, but they are my favorite exercise.[/quote]

no dumbbells big enuff eh??

yeah i really like em. i can’t get a hang of using straps on them though. i’ve tried it a couple times and it goes worse than when i don’t use them. not sure what i’m missing. hmm.

something like that.

for the longest time I used straps backwards and it actually made the exercise harder. With krocs u just gotta find ur groove and go for it. get some video and maybe we will see something

awww, baby goats! Can you keep one as a pet?

Yes m’am. Just posted the beginning of my sorry-ass log in the training log section.

Deja, you are seriously strong! Your weighted pullups & OHP are big-time motivation for me.

hola! thanks for the props. ur bench is so damn dreamy. =+)

man the goat wrangling is KICKING MY ASS. they are all being resistant and they are HELLA strong. we’re milking 40 now…and yesterday only 7 were cooperative. my legs and back are toast.

wore the heart rate monitor for yesterday’s 2 hour milking and burned 530 calories.

getting a nice giant string of good nutrition days in and just keeping my head down and trudging on. results or bust, baby.

today’s bench day… but i won’t have a spotter so it’ll probably be decently meh. my bp has felt really good lately though. i’m looking forward to it.

Goat wrangling definitely counts as training. However, better you than me.

oh yeah… lucky me.

=+)

the saving grace is the weather has been blue skies in the 70’s all week.

i’ve been able to lay out in mah bikini for an hour a day the last three days. (i cover my face with a towel… cuz lord knows it already gets enough sun doing chores)

i can’t wait to get nice n brown.

FF - C2

foam rolling, shoulder circuit
bench press: 55 x 8; 75 x 5; 90 x 3; 110 x 3; 115 x 7 (no spotter)
kroc rows: 35 x 16R/16L, 65 x 16L/16R
bench press: 85 x 10, 10, 10
seated wide grip machine row: 50 x 25, 25
close grip bench press: 85 x 10, 10

time for some food.

That is my routine – in June, July and August, not FEBRUARY. Geez.

insanely jealous of your bikini time in the sun! I could do it, i spose, but hypothermia sounds like no fun.

Jealous of the tanning! It’s brutally cold here, not to mention that I haven’t seen the sun in 3 days!

Nice workout, those kroc rows are impressive!

yes ladies, deja and i have been enjoying some beautiful cali weather…but to keep the jealousy to a minimum, rain is headed our way (at least mine) for the weekend.

deja-any chance we can get some video of the milking? i truly adore your chores…freakin awesome that you get exxxtra workouts in like that!

nice benching! not whining but man that makes me feel so weak.

LOL! I love coming to your log and reading about goats! I can’t believe milking expends 500+ cals - this is why in the olden days people ate lard sandwiches (read that bit of info in a Laura Ingalls book as a kid and it always stayed with me - probably b/c I think it sounds delicious).

Excellent workout deja! You’re moving serious weight. Big Dl and snatches, nevermind the weighted pullups - 20lbs is some serious sh*t. Awesome!

lard sandwiches…i really lol’d. if not vid, please, please a pic of baby goats…

a few summers ago, by coincidence I met not one but two people who were raised among goats. They said they’re incredibly vicious to children. So I’m impressed with the wrangling; I was pretty much warned off goats.

damn T, I lag at getting pics. i tried to get a couple the other day and they all turned out blurry. my camera sucks balls.

when the sun finally comes out again i’ll try again.

no worries… LOTS are being born still.

alisa - that’s nuts! most of the goats on the farm were born here and are bottle milked by toddler humans from birth…so are super gentle. the new herd they bought last year…well they are just so damn scared to go up the ramp onto the milking stand. but they’re not mean. they are freakin HEAVY, and STRONG, and when they don’t want to go somewhere it is DAMN HARD getting them to. lately i’ve been grabbing them by their collar and their tails and pretty much throwing them up the ramp. sometimes it works…sometimes it doesn’t. but most are 100 lbs and it’s no easy feat.

now what’s MEAN is the fucking alpaca that is in the field with the milkers. the fucker tries to hurt me every day. i swear one day i’m gonna see red and choke the fucker out. haha

but i promise i’ll come back with pics in the next couple days T.

a lot of the babies are starting to really jump and it’s so cute to see them jump onto their mom’s backs and they have some babies in their front yard that jump on the dogs backs. it’s awesome!

like T said the sun is done gone. rain yesterday, and more sposed to be here today.

i gotta work all day, but i forgot to log yesterday’s workout… which i spose isn’t even really worth logging. haha

it was squat day but my lower back has been exhausted with all the goat work so i just did lots of lunges, reverse lunges, step ups, seated leg extensions, and inverted rows. trying to give my lower back a nice rest this week. and it was raining so i couldn’t use the squat rack.

heavy db reverse lunges murdered my legs and hips. and then i had to climp up and down the ramp about 60 times while milking. i’m hobbling this morning. with yesterday’s rain the ramp was really slick and i munched it down the fucker hard. luckily it didn’t hurt. whew.

aww masch… ur so sweet. it’s cute. =+)

lard sandwich>!?!?!? i don’t know whether to barf or admire. haha

if it tastes like bacon grease… i’m in!

I’m loving these goat-herding stories! More, please!
