I Do Want to be Huge!
Tiribulus wrote:

That was on my mind from the first day I got interested in bodybuilding. Your best years for growth are probably between the ages of 18-30 (obviously this is based on my own observation). If you haven’t built a very solid base by then (or are extremely genetically gifted), the chances of you actually reaching your true potential will be greatly reduced. You have guys who truly believe they have forever to make progress. They claim they will “gain slowly” because they are more worried about staying at a certain body fat percentage than actually gaining any muscle. I really don’t think it is understood how little time there actually is.

My grievance here is the perception that anyone can be called a pussy based on physique goals.

OMC

They can be. Are you serious? Every guy who barely lifts hard enough to break a sweat because they “don’t want to get too huge” falls into that category. Yes, there may be ATHLETES out there who need to stay in a certain weight class. However, how many of those people do you really think exist among the thousands joining gyms thinking muscle just falls on you if you try too hard?

If someone is still a relative beginner and makes some sort of statement putting a limit on their goals that they claim they will never want to move past, they are a pussy. Why? Because while we all have different goals, and while even my own goal initially may have been just 180lbs, not once did I ever say, “I don’t want to weigh 185lbs because that will make me look funny in clothes”. If you limit yourself before you ever make significant progress, you are a pussy.

Pussies hide behind those who actually have legit reasons to stay at a certain weight. They are the ones who use it as an excuse to avoid training so hard or being so strict with getting those meals in. They aren’t that damned hard to tell apart.
When dealing with the whole emo phenomenon I agree but if you simply have someone who knows what they’ll be happy with. Whats the problem?

Bodybuilding is more than just constant growth. Its about aesthetics as you pointed out, but its also about reaching goals. If you classify bodybuilding as something other than just a competitive sport (which you must if you claim to do it, but don’t compete) then it is present in all weightclass sports…agree?

That other guy pointed out the limiting factors to his “bodybuilding” and was jumped on by rainjack. Thats what pissed me off. The idea that the other thread which I haven’t even read doesn’t belon in the bodybuilding section contradicts bodybuilding itself. If its just about gettin huge then sumo’s ot ya’ll powned

If your goals are not to be big, DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD OR THIS FORUM. The reason the “big guys” posted in the “I do not want to be huge” thread is because it does not belong in a bodybuilding forum.

Get with the program, people. The norms of this site are pretty simple.

Again…WEIGHTCLASSES!!!

That is all…

OMC

Weightclasses would be relevant if the title of the thread was not “I Do Want to be HUGE.”

you kinda got a point there

Look back in this thread. I have stated I do want to be huge. In fact I don’t think anyone has said anything to te contrary in this thread. (could be wrong)

As for not postin in the forum…see my last post on my opinions on bodybuilding.

That was 75-80 lbs ago.
Interesting, that’s exactly what I was when I started (height and weight).

That’s a huge gain to be proud of, especially for an “ectomorph”. You’d be considered a meso by now though I guess.

That ecto meso thing can be a bit misleading. Its amazing what can happen when you find that missing link. For me it was dropping volume and increasin intensity.

Trib I know your a big fan of the anabolic diet. Did you find that kickstarted things for you or was it something earlier?

It’s a long story I’ve gone into detail about many times, but I gained 40-45 pounds back in the early 90’s which was without a doubt lean. I backslid for many years, but didn’t lose all of it while getting very fat and out of shape. 2 years ago I dove back in, dropped mounds of fat and gained a bunch more muscle. The short version is at 27 years old I weighed 157 pounds of soft skin and bone and today I weighed 238 and can pinch the same inch or so off my stomach that I could back then.

The anabolic diet has been great, but I was already gaining before I started it so I can’t be sure what would’ve happened without it. I am quite certain though that it allows me to eat much more total calories than I would be able to on a conventional diet without getting fat.

I’m still a teenager, and I basically want to build as much muscle mass as I can up until I’m in my 30s.
I may take brief periods where I scale back my bodyfat or something to that extent, but typically I have a muscle-gaining mentality 24/7 and I like it that way.

Just so y’all know, this thread is longer than the “I don’t want to be HUGE” thread…so maybe there is hope?

Seems that you and OMC are the dick swingers. This is a thread about wanting to be big. Not one about fighting. Not about being functional. Not one about relative strength. It is about being big.

How hard is that for you to understand? If you want sympathy and acceptance for choosing not to be big - you might try looking for it in a thread that is not titled “I want to be not that big”.

Firstly…GET FUCKED!!!

Do you compete in bodybuildin?? Oh shit no you answered that… Your not a bodybuilder then…By your estimation of what this forum is all about my current goals of putting on muscle to compete in a higher weight class makes me a bodybuilder too. Arnold here I come.

Jerk off = the talk of an internet tough guy.

And of course you get big to win a fucking contest, this whole thing is a fucking contest to you. You gotta make an argument out of fuck all so you can look Big on this forum.

“I have nothing to prove to you, OR ANYONE ELSE ON THIS SITE”. - thats just fucking laughable man.

If your goals haven’t been attained yet then go eat…go lift…read something fucking useful…ask for some advice…don’t run your mouth in every post you make.

Again…GET FUCKED…grow a pair and walk the walk.
This is what happens when you run out of anything to say…rambling.

Don’t let it happen to you, kiddos. Stay in school, and say no to drugs.

Maybe if OMC had a fucking clue what the topic was about, or even what particular forum was about, he would back out quietly, and move on. But he can’t. Education, boys and girls, will save you from embarrassing yourself like OMC has done.

Well I’ll throw in that I want to be as big as possible! Hell that’s why I signed up for the PC!

For me I don’t see 200 as a milestone but rather as a stepping stone on the road to getting huge.

Hopefully one day I can get an elite total as well.

Direct your posts at me mate not the crowd. This is what I mean when I say you “claiming not trying to impress others on this forum” is laughable.

Your reduced to implying I take drugs and making fun of my education. Looks like I’m not the one who’s run out of ammo mate.

Everyone knows you for what you are. Reply if you want, I’m sure you will but save me and everyone else the time and do it via PM as I suggested.

Make fun of all you want mate. You don’t know me as I don’t know you, other than what you say here on this site.

I’ve never listed my qualifications here and won’t til asked.

I think my original statement applies still. Grow up.

Wait - you get on here and brag about how great of a fighter you are, but you not listing your qualifications?

Please.

You think life is a competition, and you fire off a barrage of insults at me because i don’t compete, and you want to tell ME to grow up? Get serious, sparky.

Now - unless you have something to contribute to this thread beyond your unhealthy preoccupation with me - i would be very interested in hearing it.

Really…I’m serious…tell us about your expertise in putting on size.

This is true. I don’t have a get huge mentality anymore but I did.

I went to college under 150 pounds. I lifted throughout but I couldn’t afford food.

I have only gone on a couple serious force fed hardcore bulks and I am glad I did. It was the only way to put on muscle.

Moderation doesn’t really work when you are trying to make significant changes.

I’m a qualified fitness instructor, Am currently finishing a degree in sport science and have a diploma in Health & Physiology. I have personally trained intercounty Gaelige football players, including an all-ireland winner. I’ve also trained several sport martial arts world champion in different organizations. I am the head coach of 2 martial arts clubs in Ireland and assistant instructor of the one in which I myself was trained. I am 21 years old.

My prefered method of putin size on my athletes or people who “Do want to be huge” is a variation of the anabolic diet, except rather than 5 days on 2 off I like to see a carb up every 5th day.Calorie surplus is obviously a priority and trainin varies from individual to individual.

Anything else you seriously would like to know sunshine??
If anyone is interested in the anabolic diet or other carb cyclical diet PM me and I will be happy to point you in the right direction. First stop should be the AD thread here on T-Nation. his wil not work for everyone but if it does you’ve struck gold.

Thats my contribution rainjack. I don’t like the “rainjack” on this site. He puts people down to make himself look better. I don’t and can’t respect somebody that does that. And I won’t sit by and let it slide. Your a dick…that’s my opinion. Anyone else can think what they wan’t.

Hopefully the real you is a different entity to"rainjack".

This hasn’t sunk in yet for a lot of people. It won’t be until they are no longer in that optimal age range that they figure it out.

Thats a sad fact. Probably the greatest barrier to those wishing to grow is the perception that they must have a six pack at all times.
