I Do Want to be Huge!

But not as much as I dislike always eating a meal every two hours. And waking up to eat before going back to bed. And thinking about everything I eat. Or having to meet with a shady doctor to get special prescriptions for my “hormone deficiency”

Being huge is awesome, and I have a lot of respect and lust for the guys who can pull it off. But I think that like most guys I am a lot more interested in having a life that doesn’t revolve around working out, eating, and worrying about where my next stack of roids, HGH, and speed is going to come from.

In other words, you’d like to be huge, you’re just too lazy and unmotivated, and are making up excuses about needing to take illegal drugs in order to reach that goal as well.

You pretty much describe the majority of people out there I think. Sure, they’d like to make millions playing professional sports, or have big muscles, or be “ripped”, or be a millionare, but they don’t want to put in the effort that it takes to get there.

And don’t play the “I want to have a life” card. What does that mean anyways? You want to go out and get plastered, eat a steady diet of fast food and sit around watching tv?

Is dedicating yourself to something and persevering in it until you achieve your goals any less of a life than that? Are you really suggesting that you have more of a “life” than professional athletes? Or successful people in any endeavor? Because I bet there were lots of people along the way that tried to warn them to that they needed to “get a life” instead of dedicating so much time to their passion. Good thing they didn’t listen.

Look, if you don’t want to be huge (and you don’t really want to if you aren’t willing to do what it takes to get there) that’s fine. Different strokes.

But don’t try to insinuate that people who do actually have the dedication to do so don’t “have a life”, or all take steroids.[/quote]

I was going to tear into supabeast’s post, but sentoguy did it so much better.

Count me in for the getting huge crowd. I remember looking back to 3 years ago when I was laying beside my girlfriend (who weighs 120lbs) in bed and realized that my thigh was actually the SAME size, if not smaller, than hers. The horror.

At the same time I watched pumping iron with my dad, who had been training for 4 years and is my height and 190. Started training and haven’t looked back. Gained 50lbs since then. Don’t want to stop either.

I work out in a powerlifting gym now where a lot of big strong bastards lift, and it’s motivating me even more. Also I’m OBSESSED with having big ARMS.

Like many here, I want to be big enough to stand out in a crowd and draw stares, lol.

Dude, there’s nothing wrong with laying in bed with your dad and girlfriend at the same time watching pumping iron and comparing leg muscles.

Nope. That is totally normal.

Set myself up for that one. I mean “at the same time” in the sense that the two events occurred SEPARATELY, but both were instrumental in getting me into bodybuilding.

Thanks though, I spewed coffee all over my desk from lol’ing.

Haha, no problem.

HUGGGGGEEEEE!!

something of an antidote to the “not wanting to get big/strong” threads.

I wanna be big and stuff.

I want to be bigger. I used to think I wanted 18 inch arms only but now that I have 17.5, it feels like I should strive for more.

^^ agree. Never be satisfied! The day you are satisfied with your body is the day you fail at bodybuilding!

It’s sad when a thread about not wanting to get big gets 8 times the posts that this thread does…on a fucking bodybuilding website!!!

Kudos to all you kids that want to step outside the socially acceptable box, and strive to be big.

Never listen to the pussies. Train hard. Lift heavy shit. Eat big, and enjoy the fact that you are not cow-towing to the emo-pussy-fudge packing popular crowd.

this made me laugh so hard , because we have guys in my gym that are like this. “being big is just stupid.” or what ever. I want to get passed 200 pounds some day, with a six pack.(got the pack almost., lol) kinda long story…but.

hehe last night for the first time I dumb bell benched over 50’s on each arm. ( when I started I couldnt do 40s) alot of the guys there were like dude you cant lift those ( 75’s) at least not with good form. and one friend of mine ( who was 290 and cut down to 235) was like just go for it. wana be big ? lift big. dude you got good tri’s if you can pick em up you can lift em.
so he spotted me and I did three sets of ten at 75 on each arm veins popping out and everything, ( I only weighted in at 155 last night …recovering from being sick a week ago.)
with only one bad rep. after I was done some of the guys were like who needs to lift like that? really…its just gross.( o.O)
I just shook my head and laughed quietly.

Yeah to get big as my genetics allow is a goal of mine. Could it be 230 or 240? Who knows only one way to find out.

Well i don’t know how big huge is as im 6ft !

But yes i want to be WAY bigger than i am now even if i’m only training 2 weeks :stuck_out_tongue:

But gotta start somewhere… see this thread in a years time !

I want to be huge…The thing they don’t tell you is that carrying around all the extra weight is rough! Thigh’s be rubbing and you no longer feel agile…It must be similar to what a fat person has to deal with. I still pursue it though!

You can be big AND agile man. Look at Maurice Jones-Drew. That guy is 5’7 and 208, and he moves like a mofo!

i dont care about size as much as i do strength, i just want to be freakishly strong haha

Lol that made this entire thread worth it.

I want the ability to kill someone with my bicep, by just them looking at it…

Actually it was an antidote to a thread titled “I don’t wanna be huge”.

Funny somebody dug this thread back up
