I Could Use A Little Guidance

Ok here’s my situation. Been lifting off and on for a few years, more off than on, but I’m not a total newb. I have read more on this website than I can remember, and I’m starting to feel overwhelmed/confused.

My current situation is 6’3" 210lbs maybe 15-20% BF. I would like to slim down, and add some muscle, but I’m not concerned with the scale #s, more with the way my clothes fit, etc. I slimmed down from a post college weight of 235 with just eating a little better and running, basic stuff, little lifting.

I want to start lifting much more consistently and harder, I’ve done some TBT, a Lee Hayward 12 week plan, but just havent consistently stuck with anything so I haven’t seen a lot of gain/maintained it. I feel like I should cut before really trying to add muscle, so my main question is this:

What’s the best lift plan for a cut? Also, what cardio should I add to it? Should I use the plan laid out for Gus on the V-Diet even though I’m not doing that diet? Or will this be too easy since my cut won’t be that drastic?

Thanks for your help.

10x3 for fat loss looked good., if you haven’t been lifting long, with a proper diet you will probably just start to look better overall. My personal favorite is WSFSB with 2 weight training lower body days. Do you have some maxes for us?

Just re-read 10x3 article and it does look like a good program for me. I lift alone, and never max. Some of my recent lifts are Squat 8x3@180, DL 3x8@155 and DB Bench 8x3@60

I know these are very low, but I have just never lifted consistently enough to get some good gains.

Thanks for the help
