I Bought a Neck Harness. Am I Dumb?

I suppose the question to ask, is do we see this phenomena outside of metal singers. Do other singers have large necks outside of metal.

Lol, but I don’t think he caught it.

Neck harness is an solid way to train your neck.
with not allot of impact - or pain.
Im still amazed at people with ā€˜size’ dont have a bigger neck.
I see lots of bros with big arms upper body etc and not much neck.

Im thinking anyone that played sports - football let alone any kind of grappling is gonna have some decent neck development.

My neck is just under 18’ and Im about 190.

post pics of your neck.

I’ve been doing my neck harness. it’s nice. I need to do the front now more though. I figured I’d do a lot of the back side to prevent that phone neck that’s been going on with everyone lately

Here you go.
for what its worth I remeasured - its just about 17 and 3/4.
Im not a big person by any stretch 5’6 and 190 ish.
I have not trained neck in a while- was a college wrestler- but that was 20 years ago.

I dont know doesnt look big or huge to me.

hmmm you don’t have a long neck, aren’t you worried you may end up with the no neck look?

This is probably the smallest it’s been since high school even though my bw is higher.
Never was a pencil neck

Wrestling judo Bjj did that for 20 ish years.
Pretty sure the no neck look is the norm for similar athletes and strong people

I just want a stronger looking neck without that no neck look if that’s even possible haha

I recall a Kabuki workshop where I believe they said 17+ was sleep apnea risk.

But if you sleep fine, can’t be a big deal

I should measure my neck. sometimes I think I have sleep apnea.

I think your missing the point here.

I asked my doctor about this and according to her it isn’t definitive. Being overweight is a bigger cause.

Yeah, makes sense. I’m not even close to having a neck that size or being overweight, so I think I’m good so far

I wouldnt want you guys to get ā€˜too big’

for reference a 17" and change neck is still like a Mens Medium shirt.

My large dress shirts are 16" inch collars

Not sure where you’re looking, but most mediums have a 15+ neck, large have a 16+, and an xl have a 17+. My neck is a little smaller after losing some weight right around 17 3/4 and some XL t-shirts are just right and I’ve never been able to button the top button of a dress shirt without choking. Usually just have to tuck it behind a tie.

I’d measure my neck, but I can’t even see it behind my beard.

Beards are the answer. Always.

When I trimmed my beard down I was so surprised at how thin my neck looked

Same here right now. I only measured it because my wife took a picture of the back of my head (I cut my own hair) the other day and I was curious. But ultimately, yes, beards are the best for covering a neck.

what was the point?

beards are the answer but now I’m afraid what will happen when I shave it off? I’m afraid my neck will be much bigger than what I thought it was, same with my face.i carry weight in my face like a motherfucker, it’s the worst thing ever. I can have my stomach be slim and yet the face is the last part I lose weight at

fuck I hate it.
