I have a wierd question that affected me today and I was just wondering why this happened:
Every morning I wake up at 7 to go have a big breakfast at my school’s dining hall. I have a 2-3 egg omelet with cheese and ham sprinkled in, 8oz orange juice, 8oz 1% milk and a packet of regular oatmeal. However, this morning, during the night we had a loss of power, so my alarm clock reset and I woke up 10 minutes before my first class started :(. I ran through the dining hall, grabbed two pieces of whole wheat bread, spread some jam on them and ran to my first class.
So for breakfast I had two slices whole wheat w/ jam and a protein shake. After eating it, I was immediately hungry but had no access to food, but then the hunger subsided 5 minutes later.
I wasn’t hungry even till 4 and a half hours later when my lunch block was where I just had my normal lunch of lots of meat, cheese and whole wheat bread.
Now on days I have my big breakfast, I am very hungry by lunch time (4 hours after eating breakfast), however this morning with my tiny breakfast, I wasn’t hungry the least bit and actually had to force feed myself (4 hours after eating breakfast)
How come when I ate the bigger breakfast I am always hungry but today with such a tiny breakfast I wasn’t hungry? Should I have the whole wheat toast and protein shake for breakfast and add other calorie-dense things or stick with the eggs, oatmeal and juice & milk?
Don’t worry about why this or that. Just eat, eat, eat.
I agree with Mis; that’s not a big breakfast. If you added another omelet and a side of eggs and a strip steak, subbed the 1% for whole milk and broke the 8oz. glass and just drank a half gal, added a banana and smeared some peanut butter on the toast, AND added a couple more packets of oatmeal you would have a big breakfast and still be hungry for lunch three hours later.
When you skip breakfast, your metabolism slows down. When you eat breakfast, it speeds up. Hence, why eating breakfast makes you hungrier than skipping it.

Was what you just listed “pre-breakfast”? The ‘big’ stuff comes later, right?
Are you still 109lbs?
Do birds mistake you for a telephone pole?
Do you have to be extra careful around sidewalk gutter drains lest you fall in?
Is it hard finding shirts in extra extra extra extra extra small?

Ok, I’m done.
…Wow, that was harsh.

For real, from what I’ve read from this kid it really seems like he has a serious problem and we’re doing him a favor by trying to turn him away and hoping he seeks professional help.

That’s right. He needs PROFESSIONAL HELP which is exactly what he has been told over and over for several months now (has he been here for a year yet?) as he keeps posting in circles showing that NONE of that sinking in. I suggest you do a search on his name all of the way back to his first post.
Anyone who thinks people are being harsh with him now is clueless to the lack of all progress this kid has made since has been on this site. He NEEDS to go see professional help.
He NEEDS TO STOP posting here as if he does not have a serious problem while everyone who doesn’t recognize who this is gives him generic advice that could potentially make his situation worse.
He needs a football player to befriend him and make every meal a competition to see who can eat the most. 10000 calories in a meal is doable even for a little guy if honor is on the line.
And yes, I’m not as hungry through most of the day if I don’t eat breakfast. I end up making up for it at the end of the day from dinner 'till bed though. It’s much better to do it the other way though.
I am seeing a nutritionalist, my pediatrician, a therapist, and a personal trainer. All of which know of my anorexia and are helping.
My “big breakfast” I say is that because my nutritionalist said, that if my other meals equal this size, then I will gain good weight. Not to mention, that the breakfast alone is 2x bigger than what I had been eating previously for the last 2 months so yeah…it’s “big” for me. I don’t need all that food like you guys need to gain weight, I’m like a chick’s weight and gain weight pretty easily so just taking baby steps now until I hit 130 where I get re-evaluated.
Anyways, I didn’t skip breakfast but wasn’t hungry, is there any reason for this? Possibly more starch and equal amount of protein? Or just because it was a different breakfast than I’m used to? ANYHOW, I added more starch into my regular breakfast and its 3 hours later and I’m still not hungry…just waiting to eat though caus it’s salmon for lunch today my fave.

Professor X is a real comedian the last couple days ROFLMAO… again.
As for Friedrice, I don’t what it is about this guy, but I can’t help liking him and really hoping that he gets his weirdly good natured insanity squared away. I think there’s a few starving hamsters out there looking for their food.
I’m happy for ya man, truly and I’m not telling you to get lost, but every time you post here there are people who haven’t encountered you before and you are the type of guy who is going to go spiraling all outta control at nothing more than some well meaning neo scientists scary sounding statement.
If I were one of the people helping you I would forbid you in no uncertain terms from coming here at least for the time being.
