Eating Before Bed

How long should one eat their before-bed meal before going to sleep?

While falling asleep…preferably with spoon or fork still in mouth.

If bulking, go ahead and hook up a protein shake IV up every night.

Well…I won’t lie but I literally eat it and fall asleep 5-10 minutes later…

lol.

Anything wrong with this? I just eat the basic cottage cheese with natural peanut butter.

The basic? Why not a “basic” cheeseburger? How about a “basic” entire pot of chili?

You look like those stick figures 3rd graders draw in front of the little drawing of a house and their pet dog during arts and crafts. My suggestion is to make “basic” a hell of a lot more food than that.

Well…that’s the only food that provides calories per punch is inexpensive. I’ve already eaten all of the other foods (ate all the ground beef, tuna, whole grain bread) Going to grocery tomorrow though

also…parents might think its crazy scarfing down a cheeseburger before bed let alone cooking it lmao

Professor, you’re probably being a smart ass to some extent, but you need to keep in mind that different people have different goals. Personally, I’m way more worried about cutting fat because I’m coming down from my fat football weight. I’d much rather be a lean 210 that I am now than a fat 285 like before. Due to that, I eat a can of tuna every night before bed.

Your parents don’t think it’s crazy that their son regularly has to be rescued from falling through the drain in the tub after every shower? By chance do they think it’s crazy that your girlfriends are all heavier than you? I am confused at where your parents draw the line in the sand as far as sanity.

You’re a dumbass. Friedrice weighs 109lbs last time we checked unless he has gained some. Do some research before you jump in the middle of something you clearly know little about.

The lowest I weighed was 117.

Now I weigh 124 after about a month and a half. Much happier

Ok, so clearly in Friedrice’s case, he needs to install a conveyer belt of cheeseburgers and milk shakes straight to his mouth. I don’t know that I deserved to get called a dumbass for not knowing that. Still, different people have different goals.

I am honestly proud of you. That six pounds must have been quite a strain for you. Just think…one day you may weigh as much as a whole real live man!

Not to be sarcastic or disrespectful or anything of the sorts…but that 6lbs was real tough for me =/

I actually broke down multiple times, just wanting to give up on life because I felt like I didn’t deserve to live because I was so unnatractive and flabby. However, now I am starting to get over it and want to continue to get healthier.

My goal is to actually be considered a “normal” weight and then I will go from there with what exactly my goals are in terms of strength, long term things, ect.

You never know, I might decide that this is something I enjoy more so than running and I could give running up for weight gaining, but that’s just jumble right now.

ANYWAYS, I do appreciate all that you’ve guys done for me and what not. You might not realize but if it weren’t for all of your persistency, I’d probably be dead or close to it right now.

Beef is the best thing you can eat an hour before retiring.

Are you a recovering heroin addict?

I’ve addressed this part of your psyche several times now. You have a serious problem with an unhealthy concept of lean, and you probably confuse weight with fat.

You seriously need to learn that skinny is neither healthy nor attractive.

You may also want to become a little less superficial with respect to how you define attractiveness.

It would be really good if you didn’t skip over the serious advice that attempts to address your very serious unhealthy obsessions.

You are obsessed with the concept of lean being the same as healthy. It is most definitely not.

You have been and probably still are obsessed with food choices due to the above.

If you are still seeking professional advice then you should man up and mention that you have these issues. If it is easier for you, man up and mention that others believe you have these issues, if you still feel you don’t.

Maybe you actually already have done so, but your avoidance to date suggests otherwise to me.

Also, like Prof X said, I’m really happy that you are reporting some weight gain and are working to eat more.

The path to getting better probably involves understanding the issues you have and then initially managing them, as you may now be, and later working through them.

You’ll have to start to recognize that you have them and admit to them.

However, I imagine this post, like many others I’ve made, will simply be pushed aside by your mental filter since it indicates that your viewpoints may be where this ongoing problem may originate.

Best of luck dude.

ROFLMAO!!!

He is making some progress though, seriously.

You’re really skinny, don’t worry about fat.

Eat anything you want anytime you want. If i was that weight I would be laughing it up, eating pizza and burgers everyday. Probably about the only time you can enjoy that stuff and not worry about the consequences.

exactly.

If you want to look “normal” just eat whatever you want and a lot of it. Worry about shredding the fat once you’ve gotten to the weight you want to be at.

I just ate a whole pack of english muffins w/ peanut butter. I’ll let you know if i got fat tomorrow.

Well, 5 of them were w/ PB. One was with a can of tuna with cheese melted on top. Yummz.
