I’m not yet at the level where I’d like to talk weak points/strong points too much, all I know is my arms need to get a hell of a lot bigger and I need to work everything that would give me “bodybuilding proportions” a little more frequently whilst I build.
However- the one muscle that seems to be noticeably way too dominant is my glutes. My waist is just under 34" at the smallest point in the morning, my legs are like 25.5" yet my be-hind is 41.5/42.
In a serious bodybuilding way, I don’t want to be too glute dominant to the point that it takes away from from leg size and overall how big my upper body looks in comparison.
Anyone else measured up? I assure you I’m not bitching about not being able to find jeans 'cuz my legz r too big. I just seriously worry when my legs are 28"+ my ass will be “even huger”[/quote]

I’ve kinda always had a big ass, yes X, even as compared to black people haha. Solution wasn’t to be afraid of making it bigger…it was just to make sure quads and hammies are up to fucking par. On a side note, I’ve gotten NOTHING but compliments from the opposite sex regarding it. Judging by your numbers, you just have a slightly bigger than average ass, and since all your non-training friends have silly pancake asses, you, as a male, feel ashamed at having a ghetto booty (no homo) lol.
Try front squatting first in your workouts, doing some hammie isolation work next, THEN, if you want, you can do back squats. Don’t be afraid of pre-exhausting with shit like leg extensions, and keep working on getting deeper.
Your ass is no where near too big, IMO. I’m about the same measurement as you around the glutes with my waist being about 4 inches amaller, atm and I want my glutes bigger, lol. Enjoy having an ass. For me that’s what girls talk about/grab the most besides my arms.

I think we need to work on some definitions because it is clear the “non-minority” definition of “ghetto booty” is quite divergent from the term selected by the more pigmented division of society.

Much respect to those who have answered seriously and haven’t just played the obvious “you whiteboys don’t know shit about azzzz” card. It’s hardly like I’m trolling and I’m afraid of my legs getting too big or something, I just wanted to know seriously some suggestions and find out if MEASUREMENT WISE it’s as big as I think, not just theoretically. Now clearly a fair few other guys here have similar situations even with smaller waists, so I think I’m probably cool there…
So to clear a few things up:
-I carry little fat on my actual ass area (ie. not lovehandle)
-Thanks for the lunge comment and mentions of hack squats as well as front squatting first, quite frankly I will just have to experiment as I’m improving the whole mind muscle connection scenario gradually
-I’m definitely not scared of my legs getting too big even though they are ahead of my upperbody most likely
-I’m not afraid, nor is it particularly an issue that I have a big ass, I prefer it 10x over to having no ass, I was asking about it purely in terms of bodybuilding proportions and nothing further
-I’ve never been concious of if girls prefer lots of ass or not, but always assumed they would prefer it to flatass-guys . Even though, unfortunately, the world seems to be going that way… plenty of real women that like real men out there, no doubt…

I’m not even being analytical- I was just replying to everyone more or less at once and don’t really appreciate people coming to conclusions. I spose this was bound to happen when erred towards it being about the ass rather then about keeping the quads/hams up to par and making sure they get hit hard enough.

I think the issue is that this thread shows up all the time on the bodybuilding forum. I know that and I rarely post here, so I would assume you knew that as well. I would imagine your questions have already been answered in one of those threads.

I’ve read the world and more articles/posts, but I was just wondering on some specifics of what guys who are glute-dominant may be doing is all. I realise everything has been answered in some capacity before and it often makes me question whether to even bother posting outside of training logs, because the response is very negative when it comes to anything other then nuthugging here for so many members…
