HRT and Testosterone Boosters

I’m a 43 y/o male. Have been lifting seriously for about 2 years now. I just started researching alot of these sites and have been hearing about HRT. I’m pretty sure that my test levels are low. The problem is that I’ve been taking a test booster “Unleashed” for about 2 weeks now. I go to my Dr. for my physical on 12/5 and wanted to start discussion about low sex drive. How long do I need to discontinue the test booster before going in case he wants to test me right away? I probably have a ton of other questions to, so if anyone has experience in the process please let me know.

I was taking tribulus for 4 months prior to my first test for testosterone (low sex drive) and it had absolutely no effect on my low T numbers. If it did, I hate to think how low my T really was. That was my experience.

Federov, Thanks for the response. I definitely want to ensure that my tests are not altered in anyway. I’m pretty convinced I have a problem. Libido is nil, constantly tired and somewhat depressed. I never put all this together until I started reading these forums. I do have a thyroid condition, but that is being treated and is coming in in the normal range. So not sure what my test level will look like.

I recently got this gold info from KSman, all about thyroid.

Federov / Chushin, Thanks for the info. Federov, I especially liked the Thyroid article you sent. Thanks to both you and KSman.

Three weeks might be better than two, imo, but this is based on my experience with many patients getting off of various different substances.

I wish you well, but when I saw the title of your OP, I thought maybe somebody was really having success with these herbal/supplement type T boosters. I wish they worked, I really do, but I have serious doubts they do much for T levels. I would love to see a study showing just a 25% increase in T levels based on a "natural" T booster. Doc

To be honest Doc I think I’m probably getting a placebo effect off of them. I did have some teste discomfort in the first week, but that subsided. I have seen some increased strength gains in the gym, but that is probably contributed to a 4kcal/day clean bulk diet I’m currently on. I never tried any of the OTC test boosters. My weightlifitng supps have always consisted of diet, protein powders, fish oil, nitric oxide and creatine.

My case is a little complicated because I’m currently on depression medicine which has totally f’d up my libido and I also suffer from hypothyroidism. When I began looking at these BB websites I started seeing alot of the similarities I’m feeling with low test levels. ie. depression, lack of sex drive, lethargy, etc. I’m really beginning to wonder whether my issues are depression or low test levels. I’m kinda new out here so trying to learn as much as possible. Thanks a great deal for all your info.

My thread’s now too long to read, but I can tell you my story involves the discovery of clinical level deficiencies in both T and thyroid, subclinical abnormalities in others.

The correction of the thyroid I attribute easily 60% of my return of normal energy and vitality (other than sexual). How can I make this estimate? Because more than once I have forgotten to take that microscopic little Armour thyroid pill, and after two days without it, I feel as tired a guy who just ran a marathon and has no gatorade.

It sucks needing medicines to feel normal, but it sucks worse if there are no medicines available that can fix one's problems.

nc maniac … i tried a product called zeues…says it will increase test levels and make you a gym god…i felt stronger and lighter aright but not because of the test levels more like the fact that it cost me 70 bucks, so the wallet was lighter…i agree with doc…they just don`t work save your money…wish i would have…
