How to Join Westside Barbell?

Since my mobile is bad, I can’t send them an email to figure out how to join. Do you sign up or is it strict invite only ? Do they accept 14 year olds ? Do they accept beginners ? Are there any other good powerlifting gyms in Columbus that accept 14 year old beginners and is not very expensive ?

The Dogg House Gym. The address is 709 Harmon Plz., Columbus, OH 43223. The owner’s name is Tim Maddy. I’m not going be a dick or anything cause you’re young but in the future please try to do your own research first. I found all this information in less than 5 mins.

Edit: Forgot to mention that to my knowledge, yes westside barbell is invite only.

Spend the next 10 years getting strong and find Louie at a meet where you put up good numbers. Please don’t start taking steroids until you’re older though.

Yea sorry I saw that I didn’t mean to add that other gyms part I just wanted to know if they allowed teens.

At 14, any gym will work, but I would find one that is helpful and allows powerlifting. At 14, you won’t be doing a lot of weight, but you still want to use chalk, and many gyms don’t allow chalk. Sometimes a crossfit gym offers open gym also, they go through buckets of chalk a day there, and are all for throwing weight around.

If you have what it takes to join Westside, they will find you. It’s not a place you can just walk in and sign up.

What he said

I would just use the info here to spend the next couple of years building a strong foundation and go to a regular gym within your budget.

I wonder what the “what it takes” refers to. Could make a funny thread.

Now look what you’ve started. Are you happy with what you’ve done? This used to be such a nice neighborhood…
