At the moment I am currently doin a full body routine and am on my bulking program at the moment, so iam eating lots of carbs and calories but have started to pack on a bit of fat around ma stumach any ideas of how to shake it of while bulking or will it be best to wait till i start the cuttin program?
i was 12.10 before i started now 13.5 have been goin to the gym for 4 months now maybe more.
It doesn’t look like you really need to worry yet. You could cut the carbs on the weekend a bit if it bothers you but it looks like you’re OK for a while. Are you getting lots of sleep and taking fish oil?
between 7/8 hours on week days and 9/10 at the weekends, thats what i need to pick up on is fish oil, i have a tin of tuna and a bowl of pasta a couple of times a week if that helps?
Yes, that’s what I would do. You simply cannot get shredded while bulking. You will have to chose on, and stick with it for as long as it takes to reach your desired goal. Goal setting is important. It gives you something concrete do deal with.
And by goal, I don’t just mean “i wanna get big”. Why are you bulking, what’s your plan? Try to gain about 0.5-1kg pr week, more, and it will store as just fat.
Set yourself up a weight-goal to reach, and maybe some goals on your actual training. When having reached the desired mass, start thinking about cutting, and why you would want to cut in the first place? Do you wanna get shredded as all hell, or just lower your bf a bit, in any case? and so forth, and so forth.
If you try doing two things at the same time, things have a tendency to not live up to its full potential, and youre gonna end up with two “half-assed” projects.
With that said, it is possible to gain muscle while losing fat, take a look at carb-cycling or something.
just want to lose abit on ma fat% and wouldnt mind hiting the 14stone mark on muscle mass, maybe a while till i hit this and then start the cutting program?

So, people don’t even try to build any muscle mass anymore before they get this concerned about how lean they are.

Not in this world, apparently. Guy, you will look much better with more muscle even if you add some fat along the way. That doesn’t mean you need to bulk for YEARS on end without taking ANY breaks to diet. But you don’t need to diet off ANY fat yet. That will just ruin any of your progress. Report back in 15 lbs. Then you can take a brief period to lose 5 lbs of fat. That should not take much time at all. Then spend a good couple months adding muscle. If people [without much] spent the vast majority of the year adding muscle and focusing on fat loss for short concentrated periods, they’d have much more [any] progress than dieting down any time they have the slightest bit of softness.
