How Much Can You Pull?

I know women in here lift more than me, (especially Deja, of whom I am seriously envious in the DL) but I can’t just let this log disappear. Bump, with a vid.

That’s not your max by any stretch. That looked way too easy.

I attempted 295 after that, but by that point I’d already pulled six sets (done my whole workout) and PR’d, so I’m trying 295 again next time. I want 315 (and then I want 425) A girl’s gotta have goals…

wtg, that was great!!

damn that is some serious bar speed. killer!

hell yeah! u got the 315 in the bag.

I finally got 225 last week. I actually pulled it for a double, but only got the first one filmed.

Nice. Two plates is a big mile stone.

bump
290lbs
how’s everyone else doing?

Awesome thread!

250# for me

Nice coyote!

There are a few new people around these days, post up those numbers lay-deez.
And anyone else of course.

You should have one of these for all three lifts.

Bobbi, feel free to use it to discuss squatz and benching too. And any other goals you guys are shooting at.

I’m looking to be able to put up a 2 plate squat with consistency. I’ve done it once. Last week I did 3x195x3 with a belt and wrist wraps, this coming week I’ll use light knee wraps and up the weight to 205 for 2-3 rep sets if I can. 3 has been my magic number sine I started training without gear. I hit a 130 bench 2 weeks back, 5lb PR and I’d really like to put up 1 lousy plate in my lifetime.

Been off from lifting for awhile, went abroad for an outdoor semester in New Zealand last spring (backpacking and white water canoeing), then work in the woods in the mountains all summer. Pulled 305 clean last fall, and got 315 to my knees but couldn’t lock out. Working back up to that and beyond for the past few months. 150lbs btw.

I wonder if you can sticky this thread? Its good stuff!! There are some strong ladies here for sure!!

deadlift PR 280
bench 150
squat 185

I’m getting closer to my goals a little everyday
cheers

been a long awhile since I’ve attempted any maxes…just maintaining what I have while losing the fattz.
This will change after the New Year though.

Keep up the great work!!

No kidding - those are good numbers. Can you do them all in the same half day?

you’re getting me hooked up D  I’ve been toying with the idea and you’re the angel sent to kick my ass. Is there a web site or somewhere I can get that info? I bet the gym you suggested would be able to hook me up right?

DCA: and there in lies the issue. I have been maxing out on 1 or 2 lifts a workout tops. I would need to train “meet style”, which is why I’m toying with the idea of hanging out at the gym Diana suggested.

The meet in Feb. is actually at that gym, she held the first one last year and it was a big success. Go check it out.
Don’t worry about training to a rep max on all 3 lifts in one day. I’ve done test days at the end of a set program, but have found that determining my competition numbers didn’t rest on those numbers alone.

Very cool - thanks for the info  I’ll go check it out this week.
