How Many Eggs Are Too Much?

I’m 160 pounds trying to gain weight, in the morning I eat 5 eggs, and before bed I eat 5 eggs… just wondering if its bad for my health in anyway if I eat that many?

And if thats not too much eggs a day, then what is too much?

Your all good IMO as long as you are eating more varied protein the rest of the day and fat sources

I’ve posted some great threads on eggs and the science,along with others.
Try reading some of these threads before asking these questions.
It won’t hurt your cholesterol or anything,so don’t worry.
Just make sure eggs aren’t the only protein source you’re getting.

Because they have CHOLESTEROL, which will kill you IMMEDIATELY. And FAT, which is pure, concentrated evil.

yeah I am eating 10 full eggs with the yokes, and no, it is not my only source of protein throughout the day I fill it in with other foods.

So how many eggs are too much? People always say its bad for your cholestorel and blah blah blah… but I’ve read on here that some people eat even 20 eggs a day or a dozen.

Would 15 eggs be ok? It’s just cheap food, and easy to make with many different variations of cooking them, thats why I like them.

I eat 12 to 15 a day and have for quite a while. Along with a bunch of not so lean meat and full fat cheese, oh yeah, real butter too. My cholesterol is actually on the decidedly low side if you believe the generally accepted recommendations.

Yes,even 15 won’t hurt you.
I consume anywhere from 12-15 a day myself,if that makes you feel better.
I usually use organic eggs since they have more omega 3’s in the yolk,etc.

Eggs actually help your body lower cholesterol and can actually prevent heart disease due to the higher betaine content,since betaine has been shown to decrease plasma total homocysteine concentrations in healthy volunteers.
The health benefits of eating eggs goes on.
I think people who know NOTHING about nutrition should not be posting on T-Nation and spreading stupid myths around like “eggs being bad for you.”

That is not too many eggs. As mentioned try to also get protein from other sources. And fat.

There have been times I would eat eight to 12 eggs at one time.

I would say to stay under 1000 per day, to be on the safe side.
-on a serious note, if you read how many eggs body builders/strongmen/etc eat, you have nothing to worry about. They eat ALOT

Actually, dogs do quite well with egg yolks, it’s good for their skin, coat and nails. To the op, eat away man. When I eat whole eggs, I grow.
